Loading ...yes, our correction in the shares really started in the last week of January, so we are almost 3 weeks in. Hopefully, this is just a bounce in the downtrend for the USD and rates.
Not great today, but we found a day of support and maybe it will take us out of this correction. Tough trying to pull the anchor of the down SM.
They can’t raise rates to any serious degree…not with the outstanding debt, no way….I forget the rate, but I think it was @ 5 %, where at that rate, it would take all the government tax income just to service the existing debt.
They are way up that creek and never had a paddle.
Right and the Dollar and interest rates have been climbing all month. then they hit us with that big probably fake jobs number last week? And even this morning threw more “chairs” in front of a strong Gold price, big jumps with wholesale prices, producer prices etc suggesting inflation, warning us,
“Watch out gold bugs the Fed will raise rates even higher now” bla bla bla, trying to scare everybody out of Gold. The idiots will have to go a lot higher with rates to kill gold. And I’m pretty sure they really don’t want to raise rates much higher. So they use those other neat tricks with numbers that I’m sure all fake, made up, to fight gold inflation with words to promote fear.
More like a weak bounce for the shares off what should be support. It is damn impressive that gold futures are back above $1850, especially in a down SM.
I picked up some more AGI and AEM earlier this am.
This should at least warrant some follow thru tomorrow, rates and the USD might be tired of their bounce and running out of steam.
Glad this little reversal came on a Thursday and we have a chance to finish on an up note for the week. 9 out of 10 down days is a bit much even for pm shares.

An agency within the Department of Homeland Security has warned owners of Apple products of a security vulnerability which affects iPhones, iPads and MacOS devices.
According to Apple, “an app may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges,” and that with another vulnerability, “processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution,” which the company says “may have been actively exploited.”
On February 14, the DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a statement advising users and administrators to “to review the Apple security updates page for the following products and apply the necessary updates as soon as possible.”
Apple has responded to the vulnerability with updates for Safari 16.3.1, iOS 16.3.1 and iPadOS 16.3.1, and macOS 13.2.1.
“Just looking at a website, which ought to be harmless, or opening an app that relies on web-based content for any of its pages (for example its splash screen or its help system), could be enough to infect your device,” said security research firm Sophos, which described the flaws as a “zero-day spyware implant bug.”
“If you install Firefox (which has its own browser ‘engine’ called Gecko) or Edge (based on a underlying layer called Blink) on your Mac, those alternative browsers don’t use WebKit under the hood, and therefore won’t be vulnerable to WebKit bugs.”
Company spokesman Scott Radcliffe told Endgadget that it doesn’t have any more details on the exploits mentioned in the security updates……More via The Epoch Times:

Silver has no mojo. Looked at my dealer, premiums on silver have come way down and there is plenty of inventory. Guessing there was an influx of selling when we had those 100% premiums. Eagles were $38, now $30. Still a solid premium but way off from where it was.
Keep punching, we’re due for a bounce maybe. Rates and the USD may come back in as the SM falls…
PPI – came in hotter than expected, quite a bit hotter.
OTOH, the Philly Fed Index got murdered at -24.3, as did housing starts down 4% month over month
So far, we are flattish with a downside bias. Seems with flat, it always carries a downside bias.
SM taking it on the chin. Tailwinds are now headwinds with rates up a couple bips and the USD the same.
As I type, the downside bias arrived and we are getting spanked. No safety here.
