Look at how high the US Dollar was at 114 near the end of 2022.

Then look how low Gold was at that time, $1,600/oz.

When you think about how high the USD was at 114 in late 2022, which is not affordable for the US economy, and Gold was STILL up at $1,600. So we have to ask ourselves will the USD go lower from here at 101 today. Historically the USD was mostly around 85.

Bit of a miss, nothing crazy. We did get a small pop that has faded. Silver is the weak sister after being the comeback kid yesterday.

10 yr down to 3.54%, USD is still up a little, not sure why.

It appears the gold futures are having problems with $2020, not sure why but maybe it’s the line in the sand for the scum.

Shares are cooperating so far, on the fence as to how this day will end up.

Got sort of ugly after I went back to sleep for a few hours. SM futures are down with S&P futures down 29. Europe is slightly weaker, Nasdaq down 1%. 10 yr bumped up to 3.57%. USD now up slightly, call it flat.

The big action is in commodities, really everything other than G & S is taking it on the chin. Oil is down over 2%, soft commodities are weaker across the board as are the metals. Copper down 1.4%, with plat and pall down 1/2%. Aluminum weaker as well.

Nice to see G & S up with everything else down.

If I didn’t know better I’d say that the Fed might be getting a grip on inflation?

USD now down a bit after starting the overnights higher. Gold up a tad, silver flat, for now. The 10 yr. is also coming back in, down to 3.56%. So far, they are doing their jobs. Bitcoin not benefitting, down another $300 to 28k after a brutal day yesterday.

SM futures are down with S&P down 12 points. Oil is down another $.80

Might end up bouncing today, there’s a chance! 🙂
