It appears that there are two types of syndromes, Trump Derangement Syndrome is real. But then there’s what I’ll call Trump Deity Syndrome – I should coin the term.
No one, absolutely no one on this board defended Trump harder than I did up until about 3 months into his 2nd term. You can’t tell me that I have it out for the guy, I voted for him 3 times and defended him for 10 years, ON THIS BOARD and everywhere else, X, ZH, etc.
Calling Carlson and the rest traitors is a little like accusing the folks in Germany that questioned whether it was a good idea for Hitler to be throwing Jews in concentration camps, traitors to Germany. In fact, it’s exactly like that.
Carlson and the rest were the very people that got him elected and took a lot of heat for it. NOT never Trumpers Ben Shapiro or Mark Levin or the late Lady Lindsay Graham. Carlson and the others believed him when he said “no more war” and “I’m going to release the Epstein files” and “we’re gonna throw the deep state in jail.” among other things. Those were his core promises. He broke them. Period. Then, he turned on the very people that got him elected and treated them like garbage. If Charlie Kirk were still alive, he’d get the same treatment because like Carlson, he advised Trump not to attack Iran. Charlie was too influential though. Charlie was a future president. So, they murdered him. “They” being the folks that Trump bends the knee to, and Trump knows damn well that they murdered Charlie. His funeral was like a Trump rally.
Has he done some good things? You bet, and he’s faced unprecedented opposition from a corrupt legal system the entire time, and withstood the most vile, corrupt attacks from the left (and right) I’ve ever seen. I get why people love him and defend his every action. My best military buddy raves about him and rants about Tucker and MTG. I don’t even bother to argue because it’s pointless, He’s blind to any of his faults and now justifies the war in Iran because we just had to stop those Iranians RIGHT NOW! After all, they’ve been two weeks away from building a nuke since BiBi first said it back in 2001. 25 years of war, trillions of dollars, and American life and limbs for BiBi. That’s some serious influence.
At the end of the day, everything we see out of our government is fake. It’s all a stage. There are no hero’s because men with good intentions get eaten up by the machine. Whether Trump had good intentions and got eaten up, I do not know. All I know is they flipped a switch about 3 months into his presidency when he was on a roll, and he did a 180-degree turn on his biggest promises. More than that, he closed the FBI investigation into his own assassination in Butler. Who does that? Well, how about a guy who either knew about it, or is scared shitless of the people that sent the warning?
One side of TDS can’t acknowledge anything good about him, and the other can’t handle anyone who criticizes him. He’s the perfect guy to keep us all fighting with each other while they build out data centers and install flock cameras and marry our military to Israel’s – which is actual treason BTW.
I’ll give Trump credit where it’s due. He’s exposed more corruption and fleecing of taxpayers than anyone ever has. He’s exposed that our country is subservient to something and we have no power to change it.
