You know I put a GTC on a stock once and they said they couldn’t on that stock. guess you could put a high limit order that included before after hours of that happens. They are supposed to abide by the 10 % rule that if it drops that much in one day they can’t short it or the next day at that price. But other wise yeah if the owner is selling they have to look elsewhere, you just didn’t mention it, so wAs it something I didn’t know.
