Loading ...This one might have caught some folks off guard, surprised me for sure. Especially silver popping above $33. $50-60 up days in gold seem to be commonplace these days.
The real move was in platinum and palladium, up 5.6% and 4.36% respectively, that may have dragged silver up with them. Whatever works.
The shares were the big surprise though; the HUI closed above the 200 dma yesterday and actually got follow thru. GDX and GDXJ had good volume and so did a lot of the midgets I follow. Who would have thought?
Hopefully we get a three day move that gets us back above 400. The chart looks like that’s the set-up to me anyway, similar to what we’ve seen since the beginning of the year. Correction times were about the same in March and April. JMHO but looks like we have a shot.
Gotta be grateful for days like this, surely we’ve seen enough of them go the other way over the years.
Goldie – 3rd round of chemo yesterday, had a pretty good bout of fatigue the two days before, just not in the right frame to post. Good day today, hit the gym and did the usual chores. Just don’t know from day to day how my body is going to react.
