I mean, Trump has to get the appearance of a run on the board. Peace on day one has become no change after 100+ days, I don’t think that’s really part of “the art of the deal”. He really needs something he can wave around as being part of a bargaining chip, a “Look Z, with this I can guarantee safety in a demilitarised Ukraine as Putin will never risk conflict with the US of A directly, as would be necessary when we own all this stuff” type of thing. Almost giving Trump a card in the game really.
