Re Independence

It’s the usual loony’s….they all want out so they can join the EU. because they figure they will get more money from the EU…only problem is the last thing the EU want’s is deadbeat’s with their hands out, seeing as how it is already broke. No doubt the EU will lose the application letter, like they have before.

The EU want’s Switzerland, Norway Iceland etc…all nice rich places, they can rip off.

Can’t see why or how a broker can refuse a GTC order….it’s a valid order and in these days of all electronic trading, it’s not hard to do it.

I would sack the broker and report them.

Something big has happened,,,maybe good news in Iran……rates have eased, PM’s up Oil down SM Up dlr easier

Tungsten miners are very interesting. It’s a real bonus for precious metals miners to have some tungsten with their gold ore!

Agreed. Another Tungsten stock I’ve started to watch ( I do have a very small position) is TUNGF. They’re early on ( Phase 1-2) in developing their Nevada project, but they did just sign a cooperative agreement with Antimony FWIW

Tungsten is hot right now

yeah and unless institutions can trade directly who is the only one who can naked short? I’ll answer that. The ones doing the buying and selling, the Market Makers. The regulators like the Sec are supposed to be monitoring them. So what’s going on.

Morning maddog

Posted by Buygold @ 0:27 on September 14, 2026

Under Trump, we may not be baiting Russia publicly, but he has very little control over what the clowns do. If you remember, they were the ones who overthrew the Russia friendly Ukraine government in 2014 that started all this. We’ve put $300 billion into this war, the permanent bureaucrats that cannot be fired, aka the deep state, run our country. The money didn’t stop flowing when Trump came into office. Our presidents are temporary landmarks.

Got a feeling we’re in for an ugly week.

It appears Maddog is correct, SNG is wrong. Borrowed shares used to short a stock do have to be repurchased and returned to the Broker.

Posted by silverngold @ 23:56 on September 13, 2026

Naked shorting may be another thing though, as explained in this internet response:

“Naked short selling is a controversial practice where traders sell assets without first borrowing them. This can cause a supply shortage of shorted securities, potentially impacting market prices. Despite being largely banned in the U.S. and the EU following the 2008 financial crisis, the practice persists due to regulatory loopholes, which affect market stability and transparency.”

The only other explanation that makes any sense of the lack of participation in/by the PM shares is that either very deep pockets are using unlimited shorting to depress/short PM shares, or they have access to the money printing press, meaning they have a “free pass” to unlimited shorting. I still prefer Phyz in hand, the store of value for all of history. FWIW from SNG!

Thanks for the informative answer. So I guess it’s a nothingburger after all.

I wonder if the immigrant invasion is part of the discontent. Hearing about some little village of 250 and the gov is putting 1500 Muslims of military age there. It’s just outrageous!
