Dolly Varden had the holdings and proven drill results but had no plan to develop a producing mine. They were just an explorer with lotsa good drill results, hoping to be taken over, which they were in the Contango merger.
Now as Contango Silver and Gold they have become an actual producer with their Lucky Shot mine in Alaska. Since the merger was finalized they have paid off their entire hedgebook so all profit can now go directly to shareholders as more mines come on line. They have roughly $90 million cash with which to continue exploring and developing and permitting their vast and proven potential BC mines located in the Golden Triangle, and they have plans to re-open and start up some of those holdings now that silver and gold have exploded to current levels, even with the recent consolidation….so IMO they are making an honest effort to become profitable for their shareholders and they are making an honest effort in every possible way to develop their vast properties and get them producing …it’s just a matter of time. I owned some Dolly Varden before the merger, and have bought Contango Silver and Gold since the merger FWIW . Sng
