I agree. I would not be surprised to see a massive stock market crash like 1929, and everything getting cheaper, re a massive deflation in stocks and real estate, along with much higher property taxes to cover more people on welfare.

All gold owners with the REAL money are already seeing things getter cheaper when priced in Gold. Jim Dines used to say, “Gold it the pituitary gland of the financial system.”

I asked ChatGPT what does the pituitary gland do

The pituitary gland is a tiny gland at the base of the brain, about the size of a pea, but it has a major role in controlling many other glands and body functions.

Think of it as a “master control gland.”

It helps regulate:

  • Growth — produces growth hormone.
  • Thyroid function — signals the thyroid to make thyroid hormones.
  • Adrenal glands — signals them to produce cortisol and other hormones.
  • Reproduction — controls hormones involved in testosterone, estrogen, sperm and ovulation.
  • Water balance — works with the kidneys through ADH.
  • Childbirth and milk production — through oxytocin and prolactin.
  • Stress and metabolism — indirectly through several hormone systems.

It’s controlled largely by the hypothalamus, a part of the brain immediately above it.

If you’re asking because you’re wondering about pituitary problems or what happens when the pituitary doesn’t work properly, I can explain the symptoms in simple terms.

James Dines used to say, “Gold it the pituitary gland of the financial system.”

Exactly. James Dines was using “pituitary gland” as a metaphor.

His point was that gold acts like a master signal for the financial system, much as the pituitary gland regulates other hormone systems in the body.

In Dines’ view:

  • Gold rises → it can signal declining confidence in paper currencies and the financial system.
  • Gold falls → it can signal greater confidence in currencies, bonds, and financial assets.
  • Gold’s long-term trend → can reveal underlying monetary problems before they become obvious in other markets.
  • Central-bank gold buying → can be especially important because central banks themselves are essentially voting with their reserves.

So when Dines called gold “the pituitary gland of the financial system,” he wasn’t saying gold controls everything. He meant that gold is an important indicator and regulator-like signal of the health of the monetary system.

Given how closely you’ve been watching gold and the possibility of a new gold pricing/reset, that’s actually a very relevant Dines analogy.
