the flip of the (state) representative seat for the mar a lago district will have little or no practical effect on the florida legislature.  the state house of reps has an 84 – 33 republican supermajority.  the flip of one seat, though regrettable, is insignificant. the florida house of reps will, for the foreseeable future, remain solid red.  likewise, the state senate and the governor’s office.
