Lol You got the best of both worlds. I never thought of Hawaii as being in the boondocks. I thought of it as more of a oasis. Lol Yes I know the kind of doctors your talking about and those patients that got air lifted out were the lucky ones because I’m sure there were many others especially over 60 that should of been that weren’t because they wouldn’t of couldn’t help them and left to suffer and die.
I’m glad they are going away but in the mainland they’re shipping them in and you don’t know what your gonna get. The good ones will get filled up fast. A friend of mine from another state T-boned in a accident they did a good job on her hip surgery but her bone died so had to have a hip replacement. All that time she had a secondary injury on the back of her lower leg not even treated or bandaged. It started to fester for a long time. Then I asked her to describe the wound. What she was describing for one wasn’t a scab it was eschar. I explained to her I’m short that it will kill everything beneath it and get deeper and deeper. They gave her a antibiotic ointment to put on it but that’s like putting ointment on leather. I told her besides so close to her bone she could also get septic and they may not even know where it’s coming from. Luckily she finally went to a wound clinic and said it was eschar and they removed it right away and she had a deep hole in her leg. They didn’t wound vac it after removing all the dead tissue but packed it so now she has her leg and life but a deep indent. We talked about maybe a flower tattoo or something but sometimes they don’t take in that area. Anyways as long as I could hold out I was happy for the ones who got away or while working could help. That was my new attitude when CMT starts damaging the nerves in the lower extremities and then to the hands. The level of damage is different and there are different types. I apparently got the late stage, it gets progressively worse and no cure. I figured out where it stops it when the sudden severe pain starts to go away then moved to my hands and lower arms. Sudden cold was a trigger so it affected me swimming in cold water but found I could handle it with wet suit. I decided not to quit smoking because if I should wind up bed bound so to do each where I can’t do much for myself I won’t want to live anymore and trying to time it but you just can’t get that right while trying to figure out how to work that out with God who wants us to hold out to the very end but to me that is the very end. I don’t know if that will happen. It just can’t be determined. There are some braces that you can walk without having something to hold on to when it starts to reach that level but they were 14000 dollars and decided I’m cool with that. Some people are resentful of others who are free or doing better, they’re A holes. I’m just the opposite. Kinda a like a alter ego watching a football game.

Gold and sliver down about 1/2%. PM shares are flat to down a little at this early hour. Still though, it’s screw city because the dollar is down pretty good again and getting close to giving back all of Monday’s gains between yesterday and today. How does that work out that the HUI is still down 35 points and gold down $100, making no recovery from Monday?
Something seems amiss.
Everything else including the SM is sort of flat or on either side of it.
Monday did a lot of damage. Where are the buyers?

Forty years ago when I came here, ‘Hilo Hospital’ was a local tongue-in-cheek Joke. It was a place that old, hack, incompetent doctors from the mainland came to hide out. Anything complex and the patient got airlifted 250 miles to Honolulu.
In the past decade that has changed dramatically. First as part of a rural medical support program from the Feds. Hilo hospital became a department of the tiny rural Ka’u hospital who got all the Federal funds. Then software billionaire Marc Benioff bought a house here and decided to support the local hospital… to the tune of about $250 million by now. The hospital is doubling in size and the number of beds. New clinics and specialists in new buildings across the road. Now the ‘Hilo Benioff Medical Center’ is far above it’s class for an island of only about 200 thousand residents. I had robotic laparoscopic colon surgery five years ago there, and now a total hip replacement by a fabulous young orthopedic surgeon from California who has only been here two years… and he loves it here.
And hey… I live out in the boonies on an active volcano. We got off-grid aged hippies living in the jungles here. But we got damn good health care that rivals Honolulu.

Let me sum it up. You got how the corporates started and to this day constant change because many of these foreign doctors are coming for the experience then want to move on and called them groups. The insurance companies went a long with this then assigned people to these groups who then cant go out out of that group to see a doctor leaving their doctors out of the insurance companies, and people can no longer choose, including specialists. They will take anybody from anywhere who will fill the slot

COVID why are they still giving it. It started in my guestimation with corporates to profit over health care making it the most expensive healthcare in the world. Apparently by people who aren’t competent doctors or doctors at all just looking at the dollar signs. There working with insurance companies to push everyone into HMOs to force people out from American independent doctors.
I wrote this to a friend earlier more casually then even here.
You know people actually think the government is letting these third world foreign doctors and nurses in for the reason they think their not any good so they would kill us off by neglect and substandard medicine.
Maybe trying to make sense of why they’re here.
I thought originally it was to flood the hospitals and keep wages down especially for nurses and then realized theyre bringing in people wanting jobs enough to start their corporations to make employees out of doctors they wouldn’t willingly do and force independent doctors into being their employees and do as they say with their policies instead of individual care of the patients to cut cost and make as much money as they can for themselves and insurance companies also benefits but not as much at patients expense.
If they didn’t have enough doctors and nurses that would go a long with their plan they couldn’t out compete for patients taking their clients because so to add to that insurance plan may not cover them they couldn’t get away with it so they outsourced. Fortunately some of these doctors are very good doctors. But our doctors were being replaced of forced into health groups via corruption right in front of us.
Then look what happened during COVID. They turned into killing fields for profit getting paid more for Covid diagnosis, more for intubation and more for death. Ordering doctors to put Covid on the DX when they didn’t have it.
These corporate POS need to be investigated and charged with the rest of the culprits. Tried by the righteous Judge who will give them a thousand years and when they die charge them for trying to escape and serve the rest of their sentence in hell and if they reincarnate arrest them at birth.

Mr. Copper – thanks. Agree with you about the computers. Interesting you overlay with GLD, I’ve found that the indexes correlate more closely with silver than gold over the years. Do you find that the shares lead the metals? I’ve always gone with that thesis, but I’m not so sure anymore. After the drubbing yesterday, I’m really hoping they aren’t leading the metals
The shares and metals got screwed by every metric today. The dollar was down significantly, the metals didn’t do that well and the shares were downright pathetic. The buyers just disappeared overnight? They should have bounced nicely today.

Its hard to say how they are priced, maybe partially by computers, because sometimes they are suddenly flying upwards, and some kind of news, suddenly sends them down. I doubt very much people are listening to news and suddenly selling or buying.
But anyway I use a GLD overlay on all my charts, showing percentage gains, 6 mo, 2 months and one going back to 2016 and an intra day chart. to see which ones outperform the Gold price and which ones under perform.
Everything I look at has a $300 million mkt cap and above. The bigger caps like NEM AEM FNV etc tend to stay pretty much even with GLD. Above and below the GLD line. The smaller caps like $800 million to 10 billion like AGI HMY ORLA DRD ARMN etc tend to out perform GLD by a lot.
The best Silver miner is ASM way outperforming GLD by a mile, MAG CDE IPOAF just about keep up with GLD.
Oil is running up 3%
Rates are knocking on the door of 4.5% which is the line in the sand for the SM, supposedly.

The way they are acting today and even yesterday, it looks like gold is going a lot lower. This is non-sensical action.

We will never see Gold below $3,200/oz , and we will never see Silver below $32/oz. To me they are now support levels.
