Sure, bitcoin is secure.  But it’s always the ‘exchanges’ that are fraud-riddled.  I kept my wallet offline for awhile.  But it was a royal pain to get it synced up with the network again after being offline.  Can take weeks or months before the network will find your BTC transactions and certify them again.  It is not a rapid-transaction system.  I made my 50-bagger long ago, and I still won’t touch the stuff.  NO “shoulda…coulda… woulda…” and no regrets!
