The raven wasn’t quite accurate, it’s not coming into place this year – now {edit: actually not yet but maybe by 1st July 2025 as QTR says, I didn’t realise it was firmly back on the agenda for this year} – but with their large majority after the election earlier this month nothing can stop them if they want to. The pushback here is huge. Several articles pointing out that it won’t raise as much revenue as the govt expects detailing the many ways to avoid it. As usual, it would be the small Super investor who can’t afford the tax advisors to avoid it.

If it did happen we’ll have a little giggle at Ferret Hovel as a rellie can’t stop boasting about how well he’s done with his strip mall, which is in his Super fund. So he’ll be up for a sum well into six figures (if what he’s been saying is true) for tax which he’ll probably have to borrow; you can’t really sell an eighth of a strip mall.

I told ’em 35 years ago. The rules will change, only allow the absolute minimum into your super, put the rest in savings where you have more control. As the numbers build the government just won’t be able to keep their hands off it. The pot is now AU$4.2 tn (WOW! there’s that $4tn number again) and it’s all subject to a morass of legislation. I thought they would start to force people to own govt bonds, and I still think that they’ll use the next stock market crash to do that. For your own safety and peace of mind, of course. Annuities funding your retirement with interest from the government.

{edit} as a matter of interest, that $4.2tn pot is now so big that the large super funds can’t justify investing any more in the ASX as they hold such a large chunk of the market. They already have huge overseas stock holdings, but that’s where their growth will be directed now.

That thought passed my mind after volunteering to be a guinea pig with immune system chemo and who would think that type would make you sick and low low energy but it did. It worked though.  I just didn’t want to think about it. Thinking of you on vacation is more positive.

I hope they’re giving you the best treatment as possible  to put you in remission and keep you there where your just in maintenance. If they’re watching your RBCs and your getting enough iron.

We will never see Gold below $3,200/oz , and we will never see Silver below $32/oz. To me they are now support levels.

This one might have caught some folks off guard, surprised me for sure. Especially silver popping above $33. $50-60 up days in gold seem to be commonplace these days.

The real move was in platinum and palladium, up 5.6% and 4.36% respectively, that may have dragged silver up with them. Whatever works.

The shares were the big surprise though; the HUI closed above the 200 dma yesterday and actually got follow thru. GDX and GDXJ had good volume and so did a lot of the midgets I follow. Who would have thought?

Hopefully we get a three day move that gets us back above 400. The chart looks like that’s the set-up to me anyway, similar to what we’ve seen since the beginning of the year. Correction times were about the same in March and April. JMHO but looks like we have a shot.

Gotta be grateful for days like this, surely we’ve seen enough of them go the other way over the years.

Goldie – 3rd round of chemo yesterday, had a pretty good bout of fatigue the two days before, just not in the right frame to post. Good day today, hit the gym and did the usual chores. Just don’t know from day to day how my body is going to react.

Im glad they made a movie out of it. If anything to warn other women they may not know their husbands as well as they think no matter what they promise them. If they don’t have a clear cut escape backup plan don’t go. Less they are going to convert they should never go there with their children. I’ve seen the movie, at least it had a happy ending. Yep I sure wouldn’t want to go there as a tourist. Seems like they like to lock up Americans whether they’ve done anything or not.

It’s like were going back to ancient times and I think to a degree any goldbug senses that. They create wars, throw money away in social political issues. When they start running out of money now they call it taxation. When people resit being robbed and looted by them to fund their wars and aspirations as they did in ancient times they make war on them as now it’s in the form of propaganda and taking their rights,   causing division, instigating civil unrest based on propaganda,  ignoring internal looting and crime, open borders allowing looting rape and murder to do their dirty work. Even if they surrendered in a attempt to stop it, it won’t stop them from continuing sacking the city’s.  A political leader and the people are the only ones that can stop them.

Video 50 minutes is too long, the next time try to find some that are 5-6 minutes.
