Loading ...Yep. Only spent two nights in hospital for observation while the IV pumped us full of lactated Ringers for blood loss. Or just to get us up to pee every hour! 🙂 My roommate was also a left hip replacement, second surgery after mine. So the nurses were calling us the hippie-peepee twins. We did everything together on schedule! LOL!
Went home and used the walker for over a week. Had my 2 week followup with the Dr. on Thur. and all is good. Scar healing nicely. After that I went shopping and got lunch, walking with no mechanical support. Muscles still gimpy, but I’m supporting weight and walking with minimal ache. Nice not to have the old bone-grinding pain! Rehab evaluation in two weeks, dunno what they can do except log my progress. Been doing the exercises for the muscle recovery. Full muscle recovery can take up to 8 weeks… like a bad sprain. But I’m coping OK.
