I read your comment on the Luke passage. You were taught correctly, it means exactly that, one person taken, one left. The only thing maybe your friend alluded to was separating the wheat from the chaff, or if she meant literally one crop failing and one harvested. Either way, Jesus was talking about people – believers and unbelievers, not crops. The harvest being heaven.

maddog – you’re right about that, they’ve done a masterful job at making most of these shares UN investable. There’s a few that have done ok over the long haul like RGLD, maybe AEM, FNV, but the rest suck except for the occasional junior that pops up.
If I had to do it over again, I would have just put money in RGLD and left everything else alone.

I guess I was dreaming of the question of the cross of Jesus and his what he was carrying went back to the scriptures that mention it.
The shroud will always be questioned so you have to go back to the scriptures. The only problem with that is people’s meaning of things and the way they talked was different back then. Like Jesus was hung from a tree. did they mean a literal tree or a cross or a piece of wood. I was made to believe that in Mathew for instance the the story of two people in the field, one was taken one was left behind. That it was meant one would be taken by God. But after I learned from a Jewish Christian that it’s not what it meant in their times. It meant that one of the crops would fail. One would be taken to harvest, one would be left behind. That’s something going on right now with political net zero interference.

I think if it were purely trading as an industrial metal it would be down with the rest of them? Seems there has to be at least a little bit of monetary status there. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just the dollar being at a 3-year low that’s holding it up? Hard to believe the USD is at a 3-year low already. Goldman says a 20% drop is in order.

Thanks for checking in. I’m glad everything went well. Sprains are no fun, I’ve had a few. It seems from what I’m hearing the patients shouldn’t see the operating room in Ortho. You associate those things to mechanical and building or at worse the Chain saw massacre. I still remember seeing my first medical needle at 4 and a grandmother a professional seamstress who started sewing at age 5 was going to break her record and teaching me at age 4 or as far back as I can remember but with big needles to trace patterns. When they told me they were going to use the needle on me, well I never heard of such a thing. I don’t think so. Your supposed to put a bandaid on it don’t you know! I’m outta here. I don’t know who was more upset in the end, me, my parents, or the hospital staff. I remember the doctor trying to explain what he was going to do with the needle but to a adult that would make sense, not a child especially hearing no anesthesia I figured out though my parents I wasn’t supposed to feel the needle sewing me up. In both cases maybe it’s best if they don’t see it. A year later with a country doctor I got stitches up again, This time from a playground sharp object not supposed to be there. The country doctor made all the difference still explained but this time why he had to sew it up, a bandaid wasn’t going to do it and why and how he will numb it so it won’t hurt as much and then will be all better. Piece of cake but he was very gente. From memory I think kids are more afraid of anything invasive they see as life threatened and that pain could kill them including blood loss which theyre right about that.

Maddog – that’s a real possibility. Glenn Beck visited the Vatican and had a great story about the divide in the hierarchy of the Catholic Church. Apparently, the financial and public relations side is highly demonic, he remembers being asked to meet a powerful Cardinal from that side that gave him the Willie’s. There’s also a very devoted and Godly group there as well. Pretty serious split. We’ll see what God decides to do with them. If the new Pope is worse than Francis, he’ll likely be tapped to usher in a one world religion.
