Hope there’s more to do there than here and tea prices hasn’t risen on a nice day. Well kinda, it’s raining here.

I didn’t see the response from someone who’s more familiar with nuclear than me who is not or not a chemist like her among other things till now.

She got a kick out of your green camps. To save typing Ill copy the part she mentioned it to anyone interest in investing it it or uranium. I know we have one near me they closed down and no one wants it opened. I think it would be a good idea if they could make it safe and figure out what they’re gonna do with the waste.

Old bill gates is full of s***. That natrium nuclear plant of his is nothing more than a sodium-cooled nuke plant, which so far has not worked out real well because of the propensity of the liquid sodium to leak, and that is a leak to write home about because, as we all remember from chemistry 101, sodium reacts explosively with water, which has a way of being in the atmosphere. In short, there may be one or two sodium cooled plants around, but I don’t think they’re in America, and I sure wouldn’t want to live near it.
Plus, I am totally amazed at the daily “scrams” in nuclear plants around the country. The whole shebang shuts down when any little thing happens, and the number of little things are tremendous and cover everything from fuses out, parts not installed right, parts going bad — the possibilities are endless. They sound simple, but regulations make a big deal out of every little thing, so it’s not surprising when they get blase about safety. Most of the bad accidents have occurred because they didn’t realize early enough that something was wrong. Then they discover that they need to make changes to correct those problems, and a whole new bunch of problems come on board. You can’t win!  So it’s true. Nuclear plants are very safe, until they aren’t.
