Loading ...They listed “reasons” for it. But NOT the real reasons. Decades ago, we had none of that nonsense. Why? Because EVERYTHING in the stores were made in the USA, so we had plenty of high quality manufacturing jobs. And the minimum wage kept rising withe the cost of living.
Until after 1970, when they started off shoring OUR jobs and slacked off on raising the minimum wage, and let it LAG the cost of living. So then the wives entered the workforce to keep up with inflation. There are no more wives left to enter the workforce.
Also too many people can’t afford to get married and have kids with such low entry level pay checks. However, our stupid gov’t to off set the loss of tax paying manufacturing jobs, started creating tax absorbing gov’t and environmental jobs.
Why am I the only one mentioning this??
P.S. The environmentally friendly, energy saving, bright white headlights blinding us all the past ten plus years? FINALLY in yesterday’s paper, front page and two full pages inside mentioned it’s a big glare problem for drivers and causing accidents. So they will reverse now. Like EV cars and wind farms.
