I can see this moving to cognitive decline in old age and ending lives prematurely or any excuse they can use to cut down on financial assistance and paying pensions.

Would this include someone like Biden?
Or maybe Schwab with his inability to cope with the rest of the world that he can’t keep up with that must revolve around him living in the past.
How about gays? Will this backfire on them and some with their thoughts that everyone is gay.

Justin Trudeau is now following in his dad’s footsteps. Beginning in March 2023, Canada will expand its Medical Aid in Dying, or MAID, for people “whose sole underlying condition is depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD or any other mental affliction.” There is no denying that mental disorders cause suffering – but do they call for government-aided suicide? This means that a vulnerable person suffering from a mental disorder, who may not be able to make a decision on their own, could be persuaded by a doctor to end their life. The measure also notes that “any other mental affliction” could be grounds for death by the government, which is more dystopian than anything George Orwell could have imagined.
Mental health providers stress that suicide is never an option. This bill is about voluntary eugenics, encouraged by healthcare providers, rather than public health.
Conveniently, Canada is implementing this measure after its COVID restrictions sent the nation into a mental health tailspin. Young Global Leader Trudeau is pushing forward the Great Reset and will likely call for universal healthcare. He considers these people a “burden” to his socialistic dreams as psychiatric conditions usually require lifelong care.
This is one of the evilest measures implemented by Justin Trudeau. He is persuading vulnerable Canadians to end their lives to create Schwab’s (Justin Trudeau does not have original ideas) dream Utopia where everyone will “be happy.”

@goldilocks re the ongoing modern Monetary Theory, and It Causing Inflation and a cure for inflation. Crazy Ideas for a Crazy System

Instead of the story about spending the paycheck at lunch time before the prices go up tomorrow. We have a situation where the Gov’t simply gives people and businesses lots of free money, to meet the higher prices. To keep businesses going and help people pay the higher bills so the system doesn’t crash tomorrow. LOL. Eh?

I predicted long ago, “Eventually the gov’t will just have to give people money”. I heard they are doing that in some countries.

Also re mass shootings? They need to do studies re these gangs, and start some stereo typing. What kind of people are doing this? Were they born here? If not where from? Norway Sweeden, or Japan? What kind of parents did they have? Did they graduate high school?  Do they have, and can they get a viable job? If not why not? Did they grow up in poverty?

The gov’t should secretly give them each $30,000 to $40,000 a year of paper money, for nothing, (instead of jail) would they be able to get married and behave better? Then GIVE it to them. Its a cheap price to pay. You get what you pay for. Kind of like a Good Fellas witness protection thing. Money well spent.

Also Ukraine. If the Russians are not happy about the European colonization and annexation of Ukraine, how much money would make the Russians happy?  Hell we paid them for Alaska!! The Europeans should just BUY Ukraine. Start making offers. I’m certain there is a price that would satisfy them. Especially with all the destroyed buildings, its worth less.

Who cares how much? GIVE it to them. It won’t raise taxes. Its free counterfeit money, and or just digits on a computer. Cheaper than war destruction and losing lives. A bargain. A value? A lousy few trillion dollars? And if $5,000 dollars buys a house in Russia, Its like maybe a $100 trillion to them.

I was talking to a lady in the Philippines re an Oster toaster oven repair. They use pesos instead Dollar she said. So a 2 bedroom rental is about $300/month in Manilla. New house she said would cost $20,000.

Not only spending in Ukraine while our own borders are being invaded but here too while giving free electric cars to government workers all is tax dependent money nothing to generate it but to kill independent jobs like real money doesn’t matter to them other than what they can absorb.

One of the biggest outlays in the spending proposal is for the IRS, which will get $78.9 billion over the next 10 years to “for strengthening tax enforcement activities and increasing voluntary compliance, expanding audits and other enforcement activities”. The bill text notes that “no use of these funds is intended to increase taxes on any taxpayer with taxable income below $400,000,” though critics have warned that the increased enforcement will fall disproportionately on small businesses rather than the large corporations it is meant to effect.

Sign Of Reversal: 9 towns sue over state’s limits on use of money from opioid settlements

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:18 on April 7, 2022

This front page story was very interesting to me, because over the years I just knew, many stupid things happening in my village, like these big apartment buildings going up all over near rail road stations, for one example, was dictated by the state.

And the states are dictated by the federal government. And our local domestic USA federal government has been dictated to by self elected special interests, non governmental global organizations.

So seeing a push back from the “little guy towns” is refreshing to me. And another sign of reversal and special interests “not getting away with“ the things they used to. This is why they assassinated Trump. They don’t want things to change. But it’s a slow evolution transition from wrong to right going on.

parts:

ALBANY — Nine towns are suing to stop the state from controlling how more than $1 billion will be spent in settlements from opioid manufacturers who were accused of contributing to a statewide crisis of addiction and death. Eight of the towns are on Long Island.

The constitutional clash between the power of the state and the “home rule” protections of local government involves a 2021 state law. The measure requires money from settlements and enforcement actions “must be used to address the harms caused by drug use and by the ways in which drug laws have been enforced.”

The towns want to spend the funds in any way they see fit beyond opioid programs, because so many other areas of their town budgets were tapped to contend with the crisis.

“It’s supposed to be unrestricted funds,” said David Grossman, a Huntington attorney hired by the towns, although he said “some of them will use it for drug programs.”

The towns accuse the state of violating the “home rule” provision of the state constitution, which limits the state’s power to overrule local government actions. The lawsuit also accuses the state of violating the towns’ right of free speech under the U.S. Constitution because they are prohibited from litigation to assert their rights.

@Goldilocks, Hi, re Your 14:16, “they’re spending all this money by the trillions to go broke like their doing it on purpose?”

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:00 on April 7, 2022

I agree 100%. I have had the same thoughts often. The system has been malfunctioning often, and it makes sense to end this game and start a new one. First was the Covid that crashed everything, but it all bounced back. It was the perfect scapegoat. Only the germs get blamed. Not the central planners.

Now this idiotic Ukraine war, another perfect scapegoat thing. Goad our old friends, the Russians into a war, it scrambles up all the markets and Putin and Russia get the blame for a financial collapse. The Covid pandemic didn’t work. Its like they can’t kill the beast. LOL

The system is so big, like a huge herd of wildebeest, that just keeps moving on ignoring that some of them around the edges get taken down by lions and tigers, as seen on those nature shows. Its all reversing in slow motion.

Yep it could solve a few problems, for elderly that can’t drive regular cars anymore, have trouble getting from the parking lot and walking through buildings or malls or getting mugged on the way ,getting their cars broken into and so forth. They might be able to even stop riding the subways in NY. But I think some places like NY, Chicago, LA aren’t even safe then.

If I had the ability I’d invent a narrow light wt, covered convertible cart that seated 4 and went faster with a gear that could switch to store speed that could be used in all indoor places where you don’t have to get out of the car, just drive there and drive right in and make it affordable like 10 K vs the 60 K electric cars.

Very true and I think we are on the right side of the trade. Commodities have a long way to run …

ipso facto @ 10:51 re Materials Prices Good For Only 24 Hours

There is no hurry to sell something you own, if prices keep rising. I once heard T Boone Pickins I think it was, say, “If I have a million barrels of oil and its going up, why sell it now, if a month later its worth more”? Price Manipulation of commodities prices since 1971, has been turning into price discovery (correct prices) catching up to them from after 9/11.

I saw Copper charts showing $1/lb from 1972 to 2003 and flew to $5 I think.  Copper today $4.71. It still WAY WAY too cheap for what it is and how important it is. $5/lb in today’s is .25 cents/lb in 1972 money. So Copper is net cheaper today than 50 years ago.

Gasoline at $5/gallon is the same as .25 cents a gallon in 1970. Average pay today I heard in $35/hr. Same as $1.75/hr, the minimum wage around 1970? or late ’60s.

This reminds me of tales I’ve heard about Weimar Germany where people would get paid and then immediately go line up at a store where they’d purchase something, anything before the purchasing power of their marks went down even further.

I guess it’s better to do that “ with the carts” than some places that will no longer let you take them out the door because of it. There thinking too sma though. If I was homeless and owned nothing I’d get one of those electric scooters and keep going. Remember this song. Who knew it would be our generation they were singing about.
