Loading ...Re inflation, usually the cheapest basic items that can’t get cheaper, over time (or they wouldn’t be here today) are good to gauge inflation, like Pizza Pie. Its handmade, wheat flour cheese etc, the rent costs etc. Not computerized mass production, unless factory made frozen. Often the property taxes are a good gauge, they tend follow inflation accurately, no other option, police salaries too. Pretty much 7.5% inflation annually on average is a good guess.
I also read long ago that the money supply grows at 7.5%. BUT! Stocks and real estate values should be added to money supply. Some things are way above the curve like a newspaper. The Newsday was 5 cents, now its $2.50/copy, that 50X factor. Some are4 behind the curve like a 5 cent postage stamp S/B $1 each. At .50 cents today they are half price, hence problems with post office budgets. I hate lying conniving and disinformation just like you do. Especially from the gov’t I pay taxes to.
Inflation is an invisible tax and like stealing. And then to announce official BULLSHIT numbers like 2% when its really 7% is corruption. Also I remember the official BULLSHIT “wage price spiral” that the United Auto workers union were paid too much, ruining the country, and causing inflation!!! They were simply keeping up with it lock step like the police union and property taxes. But auto workers PAID taxes, cops and gov’ts COLLECT and ABSORB taxes. Bottom line. Social Security, minimum wage level in general are behind the curve because of under stated inflation rates. Conniving: given to or involved in conspiring to do something immoral, illegal, or harmful.
