On a six month chart with a GLD gold over lay. Gold is up about 5% and IAG is up about 25%. The stock has out performed physical gold, and is way off its recent high Nov 16 at $3.40, $2.90 today.
Others outperforming gold past 6 months??
NGD+75% GFI+38%, AU+30%, BVN+35%, PVG+45%, EGO+23%, NEM+12%, SSRM+12%, HMY,+8%,
All of those companies, have high market caps and are decent miners, and all of them outperformed gold itself. Most others under performed spot. Pretty much all the other miners are BELOW Golds performance by 15% and lower.
