What ever it is hope your fighting the good fight. He has a new name now I don’t think he’ll mind mentioning.
Macrobiotic diet man. I was going to shorten it to Macro Man but there is a old poster on here with that name I forgot about. But then again that might be poetic justice. He was a bit a villain to R640 and unprovoked at that, like a drunken sailor. I think Richard could handle him but probably knew if he did macro would then play the victim.

I might have not been so bad if they kept the essentials like medicine, cars ect and had something to trade for the rest but they don’t.

Well there’s over achievers like you. Lol
I did gym too was a MVP all sports except the pole volt and of course football. Those who lived on a farm growing up having to chop wood or ice back East or Midwest when it froze to water the cattle and milk cows before work. One younger woman told me how she worked in a farm one summer and fell in the creek and just laid there cooling off saying something like this is hell but it does get hot in California.
Another thing I noticed changing even though women could sew Im guessing post war when the manufacturing took hold woman wanted store bough after post depression hard times. They could pick it out of a catalogue or stores stocked with things and new inventions. I’m just guessing, Kids today have never seen a Sears catalogue either.
Kids today didn’t grow up in the manufacturing boom so have nothing to relate.
That goes back to its easy to take what they don’t know and won’t miss.

R640 hope ur getting towards feeling better

Very good on that goldilocks. Thanks for that comeback.

goldielocks @ 19:35…I’m “guilty” of almost all you mentioned, and my four siblings too. We all had our assigned chores at home.

Posted by silverngold @ 21:41 on September 8, 2021

In Junior High I had  one paper route before school, and two others after school. My day started at 2:30 am on the steps of the local Catholic church where my papers were “spotted” for me to fold and deliver (about 125 as I recall)… and it ended when I got in from delivering my last evening papers about 8pm.

In High School we had an extra credit course called Junior Achievement where we actually formed our own legal corporation in grade 10, and made and marketed our own products, elected our officers, delegated responsibilities from purchasing to manufacturing to sales to accounting etc, and then sold our corporation at graduation. During that time I also lettered in cross country running, pole vaulting, and gymnastics (high bar, parallel bars, and tumbling).

Every afternoon/evening I worked for the US Carpet Company cleaning rugs, then stocked shelves in a local liquor store, and cleaned a dozen stalls to pay for my horses board. That was life in the 50’s for many of us. We didn’t question it because there wasn’t any free lunch that I ever remember back then. You had it to do so you just did it.

Hard to believe

We are part of that problem. We are all guilty to a degree. Some much more than others.
We allowed government to to do this to our kids and the future.
If someone ask you what is one thing from your childhood kids today wouldn’t understand what would it be.
I saw a similar question and the answers we all could relate to.
Like girls had to wear dresses to school even when it was freezing outside.
There was a whole bunch of blast from the past answers.
All but one or two that is a big part of what evolved today.

What did we do kids don’t do today besides learn the Bible and know the meaning of Christmas or Easter and to others perhaps Hanukkah.
We had responsibilities called chores.
Two, girls learned to cook and make their own cloths, sweaters, socks, purses, blankets, rugs, curtains and more. Most had at least one or more of these skills.

Most of both sexes could grow food, learned to hunt, and fish and clean their own catch. Most knew the rule you kill it you clean it.
Most had at least some exposure to farm life.
Boys learned to build and fix things.
We both could find jobs to earn our own money. Be mowing lawns, shoveling snow, a paper route, babysitting, bake sale, lemonade stands, washing cars and so forth.
I even had drama comedy shows and carnivals In my back yard and charged a few cents admission back then.
I even learned through that it cost money to run a business and my parents too when I was about 10 yrs old for having to get rid of all those trees I collected after Christmas for a war scene. They found a forest in the back yard. I even got a dud hand grenade from a neighbor throw a brother and learned through my vet father you can’t trust duds!!! Think it was a practice grenade.

Point is we were learning to independent, self sufficient producers. We made things. If we wanted something other than basics we worked for it or made it.

Then we got out in the workforce and there were plenty of manufacturing jobs. We weren’t strangers to building. Men could go out get a good job building cars. Furniture, metal craft, steel, air craft on and on.

So what did we turn around and do? Not teach these skills to our kids. Yes some of us did in some ways but not like back when because we became too busy and now mom working too.

The government encouraged it. The government through school made them think that were supposed to do everything for them. The only responsibility was their homework and then learn to hate their country. They now are the consumers just like their proud parents the politicians.

If tshtf today how many of the today’s generation would know any of these skills?
Like the constitution, if they never learned it, it would become easy to take it from them.

Yes I also think he is right on the money in many respects.

I don’t like crypto because it’s just another psyop (its another distraction from PMs and a tech pumper) but he is probably not too far off in just about all his other views.

“buying Abitibi from 35 cents”

Wow that is some serious dinero! How come I never know about these deals?

I don’t follow lithium much. Looking at my PFs performance lately maybe I should.

Ipso, that Gold Royalty merger post yesterday

Posted by overton @ 14:09 on September 8, 2021

McEwen & Ian Ball had a pretty good payday yesterday on a down PM day.   Ian Ball said he had been buying those Abitibi shares since  they were 35 cents and he put every penny of his  paycheck into them since.   The only thing he hasn’t done is own his company and I sure would like to know which one its going to be.  One thing that he did a couple of months ago at rzz that surprised me was to buy a small royalty on a lithium project in Quebec.  I never even knew Quebec had lithium so maybe he’s got something in mind up there.

The lithium royalty he bought for Abitibi was close the this Authier project.  I would definitely buy some shares where ever he goes because  I’m sure he’ll be able to raise funds.

And What’s With Armstrong Economics? And All Other Financial Writers?

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 12:03 on September 8, 2021

No Financial Writers that I’m aware of seems to know or SAY anything about the US economy, or financial evolution, or declining living standards of the USA. No describing what happened, how it happened and or when it started.

1492 to 1776 true capitalism, then 1776 US Independence and honest currency, then 1913 the beginning of the loss of independence and the start of weaning honest currency out of the system to finance wars WW I WW II etc, with phony money .

The USA bottom is no longer 100 years away.

You were conned America, Back In The 1970s, Getting You “Greased” for Globalization, The Cause Of Covid And Everything Else That’s Wrong

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 11:49 on September 8, 2021

You were told,

“We don’t want those dirty polluting menial manufacturing jobs”

“We don’t want or need those Rust Belt jobs”

“The United Auto Workers Union’s get paid too much and are ruining the country”.

“The US consumer is going to get cheaper high quality imported products”.

And you all started boycotting “purposely poor quality after 1970” US made cars, and ran right out and bought Toyotas, Hondas, and Volkswagens. Plus the anti American currency control freaks, created fake currency exchange rates to make imports artificially mathematically cheaper.

Plus the subsidized the commercial airlines to create artificially cheap plane tickets to make American consumers and businessmen fly all over, to spread USA wealth all over the planet. (and bring back germs) I call it, “Promiscuous Vacation and Business Travel”

Its time to be happy though, because its been a bad 50 years, can’t get too much worse, and not much meat left on the Americans bones after 9/11 and 2008 to give away, other than counterfeit US Dollars. 🙂

How much longer can the anti American pro foreign powers and leaders get away with this totally distorted zero capitalism fake money system?

You were conned America.

Posted by Auandag @ 11:23 on September 8, 2021

The debate is over folks.

You were conned America.  You were told to roll up your sleeve and take the risk of clotting disorders, heart damage, heart attacks, strokes and other serious, even life-threatening adverse reactions based on the lie that doing so would (1) prevent you from getting Covid, (2) prevent you from infecting others with Covid, and (3) keep you from having a symptomatic and potentially-serious outcome if exposed to Covid.
