Yields, Dollar Slide As Trump Calls For QE4

“I personally think the Fed should drop rates, I think they really slowed us down, there’s no inflation, in terms of quantitative tightening, it should really be quantitative easing..

.Why Trump Wants The Fed To Pump Even More Easy Money

“This is all a very haphazard process, however, and the Fed has made it clear by now that it’s in over its head…Trump’s argument itself shows how weak the economy really is.”

Roger, thanks for the comeback, I pretty much agree. The only thing I see different, re your…..

“Foreigners didn’t take away our manufacturing, it was freely given to them by our politicians. ”

Because of my life long occupation, my mind works differently than a normal mind. The USA mostly does not have very much domestic representation. Imo our politicians represent foreigners. And think about who controls the politicians.?

Big business and global bankers. The politicians have nothing at all to do with interest rates and foreign currency exchange rates. Whoever controls the money, controls the country. So in reality, the USA does not have a government of its own.

We have someone else’s. We have a foreign gov’t. The local ones just work on little things and react and work around what is handed to them. No  gov’t would do to its own people what this one did. After the Federal Reserve act of 1913.

One example, before WW II one dollar was about equal to one Yen. So the real gov’t overnight after the war was over, made one US Dollar equal to 360 Yen. Which in a sense, put a 360% tariff on our exports, and a 360% DISCOUNT of foreign imports, so as to move US Consumer dollars overseas to rebuild all the destruction.

The wonders of phony money. Affordability to destroy infrastructure globally, and then fake affordability to rebuild it. 🙂

“Before 1971 the foreigners absorbed half our gold reserves. After 1971 (they can’t lose) they took away all our manufacturing. Cars consumer electronics, machinery, textiles, toys can openers, you name it they took it with the help of innocent Americans that could not resist a high quality product that was allegedly “cheaper” but only mathematically cheaper.”

Foreigners didn’t take away our manufacturing, it was freely given to them by our politicians.  And Americans allowed it to happen without taking to the streets.  Now again a crisis of epic proportions at our southern border and what do you find Americans doing?  Ranting, raving and waiting for the next guy to do it.

The only good that will come out of this is financial ruin of the current toxic system and the fact that us goldbugs will survive better than most because the precious metals will finally find their rightful niche.  May we all live long enough to see it happen.

Its way too late. The American people lost everything when they started being spoon fed and  gleefully started buying Toyotas and SONY Tv sets back after 1971. After the gold cut off from US Dopey/Dollar or Traitor/Dollar.

Before 1971 the foreigners absorbed half our gold reserves. After 1971 (they can’t lose) they took away all our manufacturing. Cars consumer electronics, machinery, textiles, toys can openers, you name it they took it with the help of innocent Americans that could not resist a high quality product that was allegedly “cheaper” but only mathematically cheaper.

I said decades ago, the USA has been being used as a carcass for foreign use and consumption. Its been a global free for all. Everybody globally (and domestically) just does what they please. For their own personal good. Not thinking about the future. We are now it the future. Bon apatite. 🙂

i think you may be right, once the rig begins to lose its grip, the crumbling will compound itself, and the collapse may  be fairly abrupt – weeks, not months.

a couple questions –

  1.  timing?  i see no basis for forecasting when it might happen.  i gave up on that a while ago.
  2. collateral damage?  events do not happen in a vacuum.  how much other chaos/disorder will accompany the collapse of the rig?                                                                                                               2-a.  will the collapse of the rig be the trigger for other events, or vice versa?                                                                                                             we live in interesting times.

If the GOP wants to torpedo Biden all they have to do is send some pre-teen girls to stand next to him.

I like to think about the RIG like the Berlin Wall. How long did the wall stand … years and years … but when it fell it was over in a couple of weeks.

I think this is the way the RIG will end.

Re Border……My guess is he will let it get worse, make sure the Dems own it and then club them to death over it.

As cynical as that is, it’s the only way to fight the Dems and the MSM.

Hope to despair

And I can’t remember the last time anyone mentioned GAAP earnings or P/E ratios. Fundamentals obviously really don’t matter any longer so maybe it really is different this time?

This would shake things up. Got us by the yarbles.

Many Americans agree with you that Trump shouldn’t wait a year on closing the border. As many as possible will use it to get in before then. Congress had a change to make reform to return these people immediately as well as stop chain migration where as many as a 100 people can be sponsored to come here by one person and then get benefits. This should of been stopped decades ago.

Well wait a minute there Buygold!

Gold up a buck or two off it’s lows of the morning but not looking to go positive – no real surprise

Posted by Buygold @ 7:42 on April 5, 2019

but I like the way things look for pm’s going into the jobs report with gold down a bit and the USD up a bit

If we were up nicely I’d be nervous, but WTFDIK?

The estimate is for 170K jobs – I think they’ll probably meet or beat a little – ADP was 129K but that is totally unreliable.

If we get a big miss, maybe the USD takes a hit. Maybe the USD takes a hit regardless.

Add in China deferral and Obamacare and he sunk his re election.
