Praise Cruz! Texas Senator takes aim at Big Tech, proposes Sec. 230 reform and antitrust action against extreme censorship

Natural News) U.S. Senator Ted Cruz is leading the fight against the evil tech giants (YouTube, Google, Facebook, Twitter) which are universally engaged in politically-motivated censorship, de-platforming and shadowbanning. In a Senate hearing yesterday, Sen. Cruz confronted the tech giants with the truth about their dishonest censorship practices. As part of the hearing, he proposed three solutions to rein in the tech platforms that almost everyone agrees are out of control, “rogue” corporations engaged in election meddling, politically-motivated censorship and fraudulent business practices.

“The Texas Republican suggested that they could amend Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which regulates social media companies such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter as neutral platforms,” reports Breitbart News.

Breitbart specifically points out the insanity of how Big Tech is censoring independent views on vaccines and vaccine dangers, writing:

For instance, Facebook and its subsidiary Instagram decided to define the “truthiness” on the alleged dangers of vaccines and subsequently banned anti-vaccine content on their platforms.

Further, Facebook decided to ban “white nationalist” and “white separatist” content on their platforms, even though they continue to allow content from Antifa and other controversial groups on their platforms.

Sen. Cruz explained why the tech giants have forfeit their Sec. 230 immunity and should no longer enjoy legal protections, saying, “If Big Tech wants to be partisan and political speakers it has that right, but it has no entitlement to a special immunity from liability under Section 230 that the New York Times doesn’t enjoy, that the Washington Post doesn’t enjoy, that nobody else enjoys except for Big Tech.”

Doesn’t really matter I guess

but all these shares – especially the small miners were crushed on light volume.

As I said, it doesn’t matter. MUX and McEwen are killing the portfolio – he used to be a great bet. Where does the stock go now, back to the 2009 lows of $.70?

I’ve hated this stuff for over 10 years and I hate it even more everyday.

The middle class is getting wiped out, because near zero interest rates are killing their savings….so far they have kept going by spending capital….but that can’t last forever and it has been near 10 years already, plus they can’t get decent pensions, again tks to low rates…..soon they will pull in all spending and then the economy goes over a cliff.

Former President Barack Obama’s former White House counsel Greg Craig expects to be indicted on federal corruption charges over a scandal with Ukraine, his lawyers said Wednesday.

The Wall Street Journal‘s Byron Tau and Aruna Viswantha reported late Wednesday:

Former Obama White House counsel Greg Craig expects to be indicted in the coming days on charges stemming from work he performed for Ukraine in 2012, Mr. Craig’s legal team said. Mr. Craig has refused to accept a plea deal, and the matter could be presented to a grand jury for indictment as soon as Thursday, people familiar with the matter say. A spokesman for the Justice Department declined to comment.

The New York Times‘ Kenneth Vogel, in his own report on the looming likely indictment of the former senior Obama official, writes that this “stemmed from” Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

While Mueller has concluded his investigation and determined that President Donald Trump and his campaign did not collude with the Russians, while also not finding sufficient evidence to charge Trump on obstruction of justice, other matters that came up in Mueller’s probe have been handed off to different U.S. attorneys and federal law enforcement agencies for their handling.

Vogel writes:

An Ivy League-educated lawyer who held prominent positions in the Clinton and Obama administrations, Mr. Craig would become the first person who made his name in Democratic Party politics to be charged in a case linked to the special counsel’s investigation.

Why its so Important

Posted by Ororeef @ 15:04 on April 11, 2019

to save the Middle Class !

BECAUSE ,they are the only ones willing to work !

The Rich wont get their hands dirty.

The Poor dont need or want to work because they lose benefits ,Healthcare ,foodstamps …also they get to sell their votes to keep those benefits.

The Middle class does 90 % of all the work that gets done ! illegals  do 10 % for cash ..

Back in Jeffersons time when asked why he didnt free his Slaves,he asked a very pertinent question.

Who’s going to cut the WOOD ?

If you dont save the middle class !

Same question today ,Who going to do the work ?

As usual my optimism falls short

@ Maddog….I could understand the initial interest in Bitcoin but not after the thievery.

@ Buygold….SSRM is the only pm position I hold, deeply underwater and will probably have to take a loss…just waiting for it to get to a decent price.  I sold everything else in the 2008 debacle for an awful loss, will never hold paper again once I sell this one.  Have been funneling the fiat into silver and food, the two best insurance policies anyone can have as the end game draws to a close.

Conservation group sues to prohibit Mount St. Helens’ exploratory drilling

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:38 on April 11, 2019

A conservation group has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management over the agencies’ decision to allow exploratory drilling near the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument.

The Columbian reports the BLM in December found mining company Ascot Resources Ltd.’s proposal to do exploratory drilling ahead of mining would present no significant environmental impact.

The company’s plans call for drilling up to 63 roadside exploration holes to look for copper, silver, gold and molybdenum on a mining claim about 12 miles (19 kilometers) northeast of Mount St. Helens.

The Cascade Forest Conservancy filed its lawsuit late last week, challenging both permitting decisions.

Both agencies “failed to recognize that mining cannot interfere with the outdoor recreational purposes for which the land was acquired,” the conservancy said Monday.

Silver Standard having a decent bounce today. No clue why other than it has been beaten senseless since earnings.

All in all, things could be worse today and the USD is starting to drift back down a little. The metals seem to be responding – a little.

Pick your black hole – or wait for populists to pick it for you, because when the middle-class goes, everything goes.

That’s right, folks. The rich man’s club of the OECD wants higher taxes on capital; higher taxes on the rich; stronger unions; more public spending; mortgage relief; more affordable housing; and better social services. A complete reversal of the socio-economic policies of the last 40 years. All they have to do now is work out that this is not compatible with central-bank asset-price inflation, which makes housing unaffordable, and with free trade, which makes higher state spending unaffordable and higher wages uncompetitive. Either that, or the OECD will have to embrace Modern Monetary Theory. Pick your black hole – or wait for populists to pick it for you, because when the middle-class goes, everything goes.
