@All You People That Think Vacant Store Fronts Are Because Of Online Shopping

part: What percentage of sales are done online?

This statistic shows retail e-commerce sales as a percent of total retail sales in United States from 2013 to 2017, and a forecast until 2021. In 2017, e-commerce sales accounted for 9 percent of all retail sales in United States, this figure is expected to reach 12.4 percent in 2020.

part: This means that ecommerce now accounts for 14.3% of total retail sales when factoring out the sale of items not normally purchased online, such as fuel, automobiles and sales in restaurants.

A decade in review: Ecommerce sales vs. total retail sales 2012-2021

part: The truth is, right now, there is only one online retail company that features among the top 10 US retailers — Amazon, Inc. And even then, it ranks only 7th in retail sales, behind competitors such as Walmart, Costco, and Walgreens.

Indeed, even Amazon seems to be trying to make the case for physical retailers. Its recent acquisition of Whole Foods for almost US$14 billion, in addition to the several brick-and-mortar bookshops it has already opened in the US, give away the impression that the company believes a successful strategy for the future includes a combination of online and offline.

It is estimated that in 2020, in the US, more than 80% of retail sales will still happen within physical stores.

I’ve been watching that thing like a deer in the headlights since it started up last September, always leery about buying the dip. It just kept fooling me. Besides that, I haven’t felt lucky in a long time so have been avoiding buying. But lately for various reasons, I think my luck is finally changing for the better.

As for the gold miners? We simply need Gold to get off its ass. To me the whole value system is distorted. Diesel fuel is NOT supposed to cost more than refined gasoline. And Palladium is NOT supposed to cost more than Gold. And Platinum was ALWAYS more expensive than Gold. And Silver?? Its so cheap it can be used for making sinkers for fishing.

Wow just looked at Impala…that is like the NEM of Platinums, so it is no speccy stock…..since last July Platinum has gone up 13 %..not in a straight line, while Impala has trebled !!!!!

Tks…..but that says something terrible about how the Gold miners are being sat on….

An interesting scenario from Rick Ackerman today

Posted by Richard640 @ 8:07 on March 20, 2019

For starters, notice how the C-D leg of the bull cycle begun in December topped today at exactly 2858.75, a target sent out in early February. The ensuing, 30-point plunge tells us that for some reason, sellers were spooked. If the intraday high turns out to be the bull’s last gasp, it picked an interesting place to occur — i.e., just above three important peaks labeled Curly, Larry and Moe in the chart. They were recorded, respectively, in October, November and December, and any rally that surpassed them, especially without correcting, was bound to get the attention of bulls who have been sitting on the fence. The three-peak breakout also would have spooked more than a few bears into covering short positions.

An Important Caveat

Add in the fact that the Fed on Wednesday is expected to mumble something dovish, and you have a perfect storm of bullish deceptions. If you’re a contrarian and a pessimist, the set-up looks irresistible. However, a very important caveat must be added: If the futures blow past the 2858.75 target in just a few days after having taken ten weeks to reach it, bears had better dive for cover, since that would be signaling more upside to at least 3,000 for the S&Ps and a further thousand-point rally in the Dow.

I’m very familiar with the Oroville dam spillway

Posted by eeos @ 7:32 on March 20, 2019

It was completed by Kiewet one of the largest building contractors in the world. They accomplished more in 2 years than some companies could in a lifetime. They spend considerable efforts to remove the old spillway, re-graded the face of the spillway bedrock to a surface clean enough to eat from. The whole surface was shop vac’d in fact. The infrastructure, rebar, and underslab drainage system is one of the finest in the world. Not to mention that the in place concrete is some of the hardest ever poured in the world. Kiewet also just finished the sidewall pours too, extra beefy now. So I don’t really care what some damn expert thinks from Ohio. If he’s so good at what he does, why wasn’t he hired to detail it? Crickets people. My bet is that 100 other damns will fail before Oroville does.

Oroville dam should be one to watch with 600 inch snowpack in the Sierras. If it rains heavy during melt, the fires of last year will be minor…

It’s more than a gun grab this time which makes me even more woundering what the left is doing as far as a agenda.
There using it to try to open up immigration to Muslims to this country. At the same time coming in as Anti Jewish party and we know their anti Christian,

Here’s a email I got on March 15 th. That was fast if you know what I mean.
I’m not part of this org. Just keeping tabs.
Dear MoveOn member,

Just hours ago, a white-supremacist, anti-Muslim killer opened fire at two mosques in New Zealand, killing nearly 50 Muslims, destroying families and communities, and sending waves of terror across that country and around the world.

The police commissioner, fearing for the lives of Muslims in New Zealand, even asked Muslims not to attend communal prayer on Friday—the Muslim holy day.

This massacre is gut-wrenching—but sadly, it fits into patterns we know too well. There is a global wave of violence and discrimination against Muslims—from the Muslim detention centers in China to the Rohingya genocide in Burma to the Muslim Ban in our own country that has rejected over 37,000 visas from majority-Muslim countries in 2018 alone.1

While we wait to hear how we can best help communities in New Zealand, we can act to turn the tide on our most-prominent anti-Muslim policies at home.

You can help make a difference. Call your members of Congress now to demand they block Trump’s Muslim Ban and the ‘War on Terror” which has been used to justify wars in majority-Muslim countries.

Here is where to call:

Nothing is real anymore, especially video on the internet.

Nothing is real from the media, everything has a motive behind it.

We live in a world of misdirection and falsehoods, how do we discern the truth?

I expect the stress of that is exactly what the masters hope to accomplish

What was John Podesta doing there ?

Since u brought it up. I saw the video before it was shut down. When the shooter turned with his camera to the people piled up they were already piled up. When he shot at them over and over again they didn’t move on impact. Any sign of movement was vague and only close up pointing to a air gun as no blood with it.
He admittly said he didn’t even aim but no bullet holes in the wall. No blood until he left to get another gun and came back in.No children or injured crying children. There would likely have been blood or blood splatters. When he went outside and shot a woman supposedly in the head her hair moved but that was all so looked like a air gun. If it was real from what I saw with a head shot on a relative which you can never forget his hair moved, ” off his skull,” and blood splattered everywhere immediately.
Then the windshield I mentioned.

FYI Platinum Palladium, and Canabis

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 19:10 on March 19, 2019

Re Platinum and Palladium, take a look at IMPUY Impala Platinum, $4.66/sh, $12 five years ago, and SBGL, $4.50/sh, $13 in mid 2016, they absorbed old Stillwater, a platinum palladium producer.

I’m doing good on a few cannabis miners 🙂 CRON, TGODF, APHA, IIPR, and ACB. Naturally I didn’t put a lot down on them, and nobody should.

Some real cheapies broke out like ICNAF .28 cents, and MCIG .12 cents. New high on HEXO $7, $1.4 bil/cap.   SPRWF $1.78/sh, $647 mil/cap. There are simply too many to choose from. Or use MJ an etf that has a group of them.

I finally have time to start looking at these things. If you guys are doing good on one, and feel confident, let me know. Lets share. 🙂
