It was completed by Kiewet one of the largest building contractors in the world. They accomplished more in 2 years than some companies could in a lifetime. They spend considerable efforts to remove the old spillway, re-graded the face of the spillway bedrock to a surface clean enough to eat from. The whole surface was shop vac’d in fact. The infrastructure, rebar, and underslab drainage system is one of the finest in the world. Not to mention that the in place concrete is some of the hardest ever poured in the world. Kiewet also just finished the sidewall pours too, extra beefy now. So I don’t really care what some damn expert thinks from Ohio. If he’s so good at what he does, why wasn’t he hired to detail it? Crickets people. My bet is that 100 other damns will fail before Oroville does.
