Loading ...If we were still producing our own consumer products, we would want and WELLCOME immigrants. We would open factories, hire them pay them and make and make profits on them. They in turn would be CONTRIBUTING things and taxes. Most other occupations do not contribute any physical THINGS, that we need and use. Manufacturing supports all the service jobs and pretty much everything else.
A factory can prosper and survive without an office and a showroom, but an office or showroom can not survive without the factory. The USA has not been surviving too well because we moved most of the factories off shore, and they left us with too many Offices and Showrooms and make believe artificially created jobs and regulations that just cost society money, overhead. Many jobs I see around here are “welfare jobs”.
