BG, there is lack of information how these instruments work. I do understand how options work but I thought they may have been ETF’s similar to VenEck Vectors Gold miners. However upon closer inspection they have no shares so it makes sense that they are “options” effectively, and you are right they do decay with time, and unless one picks the right direction and the price, they are risky instruments , suitable for hedging mainly and gambling :).

I stay away from the those ETFs but I know that they are meant to be short term holds.
I know pretty much zero about them but I’d guess that the bars and coins are OK. Probably some people here have them.
