Farmboy @ 22:29. Thanks for the seasonal greetings.

If you check the posted current temperatures and note the snowflake symbols in the upper right box of the link below you would correctly conclude that it is getting a bit cool to sit for a chat on the cast iron tractor seats.  But your thought of a chat about PMs and geopolitics was a very nice thought anyway.  No shortage of interesting topics there.

You mentioned the idea of expanding agriculture further into the subarctic zone.  The attached link indicates that there is always interest in encouraging production of more agricultural food locally for northern residents.  Yukon and Alaska have some pretty impressive garden-scale vegetable production, thanks partly to very long hours of sunlight each day in the short growing season.  As for anything larger scale, in the way of  subarctic agricultural production, the picture in the link below illustrates the difficulty of getting replacement headlights or universal joints or other needed parts for a Ford when you live this far from the North American industrial heartland.

p.s.  It was re-assuring to see you still holding the faith for McEwen Mining.  It also remains as a core holding in our PM portfolio, but we remain faithful as well to Silver Wheaton, First Majestic, First Mining Finance, and Americas Silver.  Maybe next year will be the year for these oldtime-holdings to shine again.  Cheers and best wishes.  Equiz.
