Loading ...In the 1950s, even in the 1960s, the democratic party that protected the Blue Collar one spouse working, middle class masses. They supported labor unions in factories, mines, steel mills etc etc, work places that were potentially dangerous. Those high standards were gradually removed.
Union busting started before and during Reagan. TPTB (business) together with the politicians of the day wanted lower wages. Rockefeller wanted more tax payers and helped start the woman’s liberation movement and double the workforce.
After that the imports started flooding our country. The Dept of Labor kept under stating the consumer price index, which held down pay raises and wages unless you had a unionized gov’t part time full pay affirmative action tit job.
The REAL old actual democratic party gradually disappeared and changed into a nothing party. The two parties together did nothing to help the middle class. Left wing and right wing on the same bird.
Now here we are, 2016, and we have a president elect that wants the opposite of the recent declining middle class blue collar prosperous past. More work, more jobs higher wages etc etc. This means……..
We have a brand new actual Democratic party, calling itself the “republican Party”. Gee, now why would TPTB be reversing everything? Because they HAVE to for their own good.
