Saskatchewan most attractive Canadian jurisdiction in latest Fraser Institute survey

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:31 on June 10, 2016

TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Saskatchewan remains the most attractive jurisdiction for mining investment in Canada, according to the yearly global survey of mining executives released on Thursday by the Fraser Institute, an independent, non-partisan Canadian public policy think tank. The 2015 Fraser Institute Survey of Mining Companies rated 109 jurisdictions worldwide based on a combination of their geologic attractiveness for minerals and metals and their policy attractiveness and, for the second consecutive year, Saskatchewan ranked as the top jurisdiction in Canada and finished second globally behind Western Australia.

Euro markets getting hammered pretty good, US markets set to open down, although they haven’t been staying down lately, so we’ll see about that….

10 yr bonds yielding 1.65%, getting down near the all-time lows again

Could get interesting

Finally, a Canadian who lays it on the line and who makes sense of an important need.

The Energy East oil pipeline makes sense to me for several reasons.  It is a nation-building project; it would economically  benefit a broad longitudinal range of regions in Canada; it is not a plan being advanced by globalists who might be wanting to unite North America into one united north-south entity; it would diversify the energy resource assets of the western Canadian  sedimentary basin by giving it a east-west axis and not just a north-south axis..  Those are my views, with which many will disagree, but note also the views of an experienced 85-year-old industrialist, as linked below.  While the industrialists promote this project, how about also  initiating plans for a few more refineries at several locations where there is already some, but not enough,  refining infrastructure in western and eastern Canada.    Equiz.

Ice Fishing
Donald Trump and Hillary
Clinton Go Ice Fishing

How do you settle a presidential election when the vote is too close to call? With an ice fishing contest, of course!

After the first round of votes were counted, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were deadlocked. Instead of going through a recount, the two agreed to a week-long ice fishing contest to settle the election. Whoever caught the most fish at the end of the week would be the President.

The candidates decided a remote frozen lake in northern Wisconsin would be the ideal place. No observers were allowed on the fishing rounds, but both candidates would need to have their catches verified and counted each night at 5pm.

After Day 1, Trump returned with a total of 10 fish, Hillary came back with nothing.

Day 2 finished, and Trump caught another 20 fish, but Hillary once again came back with nothing!

That night, Hillary and her cronies got together and accused Trump of being a “low-life, cheatin’ asshole.”

Instead of fishing on Day 3, they were just going to follow Trump to spy on him and figure out how he was cheating.

Day 3 finished up and Trump had an incredible day, adding 50 fish to his total!

That night, Hillary and her democratic buddies got together for the full report on how Donald was cheating. Hillary stood up to give her report and said, “You are not going to believe this, he’s cutting holes in the ice!”

And that, my friends, tells you all you need to know about the intelligence on the left side of the aisle!
