Before today’s Greece vs. Turkey friendly match in Istanbul both teams shared a moment of silence to honor the victims of the Paris attacks. UEFA, Europe’s governing soccer body, requested that all European international games hold a minute of silence before the start of their matches and wear black armbands.
Many fans in the stands in Instanbul, however, decided to boo and wave flags during the minute. The booing can be heard in this video:

During what was supposed to be a moment of silence for the victims of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris, the crowd of a Turkish-Greek soccer match began to boo instead.
Reuters’ Ece Toksabay first reported on the moment Tuesday afternoon, adding that the fans then began chanting “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is great” in Arabic.
