Been seeing some weird gyrations in GLD and SLV this am. Bouncing around, sort of all over the map. No eco data today that matters.

Not permanent, a melt down on its own weight including silver back down to about 30, then comes the real move, commodities to the moon. Oil up past $80 this am
at the $80.57 mark, up $.74. Been a quick, stealthy move up after it hit $76 just a week or so ago. Seems like some punters might know something that no doubt I’ll be the last to know. Might be worth watching IMHO.

SM futures down a bit, dollar up a bit, rates drifting up 3 ticks. Dollar probably won’t die with rates moving up.

Funny, rates are up, ten yr. up 7 ticks back above 4.53%. Surprised the dollar is a little weaker and pm’s aren’t getting worked over. Bitcoin is down 2% though. Nice day for silver but no signs of the Crimex breaking just yet.
Somehow the HUI is up 2% with NEM up only .48%.

I guess the way things were then I helped a few people and after that one you learn desperate people who aren’t secure where they’re next meal will be you can’t trust. You can still help them but don’t see anything around they can steal. Gold’s big run in late 70’s, early 80’s came amid big rate hikes. I think a hike up to 10-15% might do it, but that would do two things, further destroy what’s left of the economy and two force them to admit they were wrong. I don’t think these arrogant idiots will ever admit that.

Only a market down turn or a rate hike can hold it back imo. I don’t think we’ll get a rate hike less they want to bring the market down. They’ll just have some transitory excuse and getting ahead of things if they do lower rates. With real estate apparently doing okay right now and still way over priced they don’t really need to bring it down until maybe after summer if they want to keep election time window dressing up.
The good news is the dollar in short term is making a head and shoulders while gold is making a reverse head and shoulders if it drops a bit to complete a pattern as of about now.
