the banks are hungry. I’m getting credit card offers from everyone including stores and suppose if I know I was going to die in a few weeks I’d get them all and make a bucket list. Just kidding but it seems that’s what there doing and want to take us down with the ship while these banks pay you no interest but bet they’ll let you pay them instead. So I have the pain of having tear them up and my name off so no one gets them. During Covid someone took two credit cards out on my name but a credit system notified me and had them stopped before this person could use them and found out where he was in another close by city and he said well he didn’t spend them anyways. I usually tear them up so don’t know what happened.

Re the 30 yr auction….for decades now there has been talk of a debt bomb going off, where no-one will buy Treasury debt and for all that time it has never yet happened…..but look at rates on a quarterly chart and there is no doubt that the 40 yr down move is over….for the rest of most of our lives rates will be hard and rising.
and in a woke world where hard knocks are verboten, the painfull and correct answer cannot be allowed, so the easy option of inflating away the debt will happen, which means PM’s will have a constant overall bid……certainly for the next decade.
