I do not agree about the pm stocks.  While I have had a few disasters, I have been quick to pull the plug so that they did not get too far away.  Sure some turned around and did well and a few times I rebought.  But I have been successful bottom line.

It is true that I have been out  of pm stocks more than in them as I am not a buy and hold investor of any stocks.

i think we are stuck with a play on whether they can stay in power…..If the Blob/Globalists get taken down, then the Rig falls as well, as that is what makes the world ‘look’ sane…..without the Rig then their madness would be ripped apart by the mkts….as it is the mkts do not function…..

so yr election is basically the big test….

I just wish I knew back in 2008, what I know now……

That the rig will never end until they simply can’t do it for whatever reason. We just don’t know what that exogenous event will be.

In the meantime, physical is the only place to be IMHO. I’ve said it before, wish I had never bought any of these garbage mining shares

Gosh I wonder who hit Oil, bid the dollar and smashed PM’s …..for no reason…..getting stale folks.

The promise that 2024 was going to usher in interesting times is proving to be true. De facto secession has thus far included 26 states.  Now truckers are mobilizing. These guys and gals control our supply chain.  You can have a trillion dollars, but if the goods are not on the shelves, the cities burn.  Secure your gold and silver. Secure your provisions and essentials.  Arm yourselves. Your starving neighbors will be your first threat.
Down voters need to look at what Obama predicted for us in his new NetFlix movie

Unless illegals know someone in California that can take them in they would have a hard time here. The ones working under the table already don’t want them cutting in. Unless management is one of them there gonna have a hard time especially in areas they’re already aware of their games. But there here and hiding in woods growing toxic pot with toxic chemicals that get in the water and poison plant and wildlife too. The Feds do little about it I think.

Now I heard since Abbott put up that wire and working on more till they did another tunnel Arizona is getting more. NM is quiet. There’s lots of them there too including the Mexican Mafia. They’re different and don’t seem to bother the citizens directly that I know of although drugs and other crimes can be indirectly , than say MS13, I think they started from El Salvador and between Trump and Presidente of El Salvadore I think were cleaning crime up and discouraging recruits until Dementia Joe got in and the jails here are a hotel compared to there especially revolving door ignore the law policy’s.

Your questions are on our minds closest to the problems. Already I’m hearing things like ” I think it’s time.” I hope they stay within the law including if things heat up their rights under the constitution and second amendment and not get set up. In fact maybe turn it around to where it belongs.

Such a convoluted mess we are in.

I’ve seen that Abbott/WEF thing on the internet, and also, why did he wait so long to do this.

Also, talk that this is some kind of another Jan6 setup.

What I wonder is, with all the action taking place in Texas, what’s going on in Arizona, New Mexico, and California.

Those state’s governments couldn’t care less about “illegals” entering the country.

Won’t the flow just divert west?

Meanwhile, earliest possible remedies to this and so many other problems lie after a favorable election almost a year away.

IDK, it is truly in God’s hands.

Good interview I didn’t hear all of it as all of a sudden someone popped up but caught the gold manipulation. Talking about hoarding it for themselves.

Good post today.  The young needing more aggressive profits  who have more time to build and hope they don’t listen to the wrong people ie rich man who’s not a criminal or scammer anyway vs poor man including scammers.  I think retirees should just manage to hold on to their wealth and focus on passive income maybe have cash on hand for hobby trading. I guess it’s where politics takes us to figure out what side of the trades we need to move to. Not what the news says that can deceive or in hindsight  but the politics.

In case it’s not on there on your post.

I don’t know if it’s because the left is trying to smear the Gov of Texas G Abbott but why is he a member of the WEF.                                                                   Some are wondering if the plan is to start a civil war or accusations of one to stop the elections.

FWIW…

Wide scope discussion of metals, social constructs, upcoming electon, dark areas of pedophilia and trafficking.

Deep subjects, IMO, good for a weekend listen.

I’ve been having the same concerns. I already am about half in phys, but at 78, and having recently sold my house, I am uncomfortable holding even good bullion funds like CEF or PSLV, especially in light of “The Great Taking”. Furthermore, I’m also reminded of Another (going back a few years ?) and his, “all paper must burn”! I’m getting too old for this shit, which I thought would end with “a shot to the Moon” within a few years of Nixon’s move in 1971 – although the 1979/80 shot was good, even if short-lived.

I have no idea to be honest, but my thinking is if tbills fail then our whole world is gone.  And the government can print money to keep paying the tbills.  No doubt we would be losing money especially considering whatever inflation gauge you like.  Still most of your principal would exist.  I am still pondering the problem.  If your only concern is preserving paper capital what to do?

I will post more if better ideas present.  For now over the next many months I will rotate out of positions into 4 wk tbills.  I may even sell NAK even though originally I planned to hold.  One of the other reasons I need to retire from trading, my mood has gotten to affect my trading.

I wish I could be of more help.

aurum

I didn’t address your concern of the shuffling of the government debt payments.  Of course it could happen.  Would not surprise me.  But think of the havoc on banks, insurance companies that hold them.  So it seems to me to be a lesser risk.

added: keeping some US dollar cash as you hint at I think is a good idea.  But if tbills fail won’t that?  Again I will try to post a better idea as I have spent much time trying to decide the best plan for my family.

and added while perhaps the smallest risk is the third party risk.  Some of our bonds particularly isavings bonds which we bought when you could get 10% out of the gate and use several legal avenues to buy in quantity are not a bigger problem but the 4 week tbills through our brokerage has a certain perhaps little third party risk

I have the same apprehension of the wheels coming off sooner rather than later. I am out of most paper assets except for my long-held miners that are too beaten down to be worth selling. I have a variety of hard assets, and I have cash. More than I’d like to hold, but don’t know where to put it. Or whether to hold it. In a hyper inflation, it will become worthless. Much better in a deflation, of course, but only if it is still being used in the form I have it, and hasn’t been re-valued or even banned. You mention 30-day t-bills. Does one want to hold government paper–of any kind or duration–if there is the risk of default or some kind of drastic re-organization? Is that too far-fetched a notion? People always think it can’t happen here…until it does. I’m seventy approaching seventy-one, semi-retired soon to be fully retired. I’m much more interested in security and stability than I am in return.  If you happen to feel like thinking out loud, I’d listen.

If he and his voters want to make Canada poor again, ruled by foreign countries at their expense when it’s just a illusion so be it but we don’t want it here as we have enough people like that to worry about. I knew there was going to be trouble when they voted for Trudeau like they were either virtue signaling a lie or were bored and wanted entertainment insead of a safe and a strong economy maintaining their own culture.

I wish these Canadian freedom fighters well that don’t want to be ,’kept” by treating them like their stupid as a excuse to make decisions for them to benefit their illusion like  parasites bleeding their individual freedoms and economy dry with dictatorship and stupidnomics. It’s some accompaccomplishment for so few to hopefully wake up the rest maybe and stop playing apologetic when they had nothing to apologize about in the first place.
