Nasty reversal in tech
QQQ’s were way up earlier.
Doesn’t look like they’ll let us get away with big gains with tech down and the dollar up, although we’re still hanging on.
Pretty rare that we get everything back after a loss anyway. I’m just glad we’re not getting a continuation down, gold is strong. Hope it keeps going when liquidity comes back in. Silver can’t seem to get any momentum just yet, not sure why though.

Trying to bounce
The week’s big eco numbers come out in a couple of hours. We’ll have to see if the numbers come in favorable to the coming rate cuts or we get something different. I suspect they’ll come in soft enough to give the Fed what they need, pm’s seem to be anticipating that news as well.
Usually, these early up moves before news get reversed after the news comes out, although it didn’t recently when the CPI/PPI data came out, metals continued to move higher. The dollar is up a little this am, so if we are to continue higher, I’d guess it will turn south.
As Captain mentioned, we have a lack of liquidity at the moment, so any big up moves might be hard to sustain. They also could be exaggerated to the upside, that would be best case for us, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Seems clear that yesterday was just a brute force move on silver and the shares, hopefully in advance of a move up today. Never know.

Thing is, even though large cap producers have moved higher this year and are a little overbought, they remain at historically low valuation levels. Yep, all seems that way.
I’m surprised gold is finding buyers at $2500 to be honest. Course they’re beating the shares like baby seals. Today would explain why the shares were weak yesterday too. There must be a memo that goes out amongst the scum that outlines the plan a couple days in advance.
No volume, so they can push things around pretty easily. Next week the rubber meets the road, and I suspect things will get real, both in markets and politics. Hopefully we’ll be the beneficiaries.
