For much of the past year, we had joked that behind the facade of western Democratic ideals, was a cold hard truth: the price of oil must not be allowed to go up in an election year. This was obvious in Biden’s “kid gloves” treatment of Iran’s regime, it was obvious when the US implemented “sanctions” on Russian oil that were breached within months with zero enforcement, it was also obvious when the US president became best friends with Venezuela’s dictator Nicolas Maduro last October when, in exchange for a few thousands barrels of Venezuela’s oil, the US lifted sanctions on the person that for years was one of western “democracies” biggest enemies.

I’m glad to see that and that they’re professional critics including not subjecting or taking genetic bio- engineering and are not being censored like in the English speaking and European gov where it originates anyways. SM futures mildly higher. Rates and dollar flat. Oil and Bitcoin down a little. PM’s flat with shares drifting up with the SM.

No real important eco news on the table, seems like a quiet Wednesday, hopefully not the calm before a storm.

Looking forward to pm share earnings in a few weeks to see how much of an impact the higher prices will have on earnings. Not a full quarter of higher prices, but close to half. If I remember correctly, First Majestic held off on selling some of their products in Q1 for higher prices. I’d think they are selling some now, but holding off was a good move.

Hopefully this rally continues shortly with $100 up days that exceeds all expectations. 🙂

Yes. Agree, and I do think TSHTF very soon. The plus side is we may not have to pay taxes for awhile or even debt to banks. They are taking the US into full blown chaos. These protests we’re seeing will get worse and destroy the cities. I saw on X that the illegals in NY stormed the city council because they didn’t want to leave the 5-Star Hotels and be put in shelters. Ultimately there will be major violence. For sure over the summer.

I honestly don’t know why the political class – including Republicans are trying to destroy the country.

The best estimates currently available suggest that around 212,582 tonnes of gold has been mined throughout history, of which around two-thirds has been mined since 1950. And since gold is virtually indestructible, this means that almost all of this metal is still around in one form or another. If every single ounce of this gold were placed next to each other, the resulting cube of pure gold would only measure around 22 metres or 73 Feet….on each side.

Everyone has been conditioned to play the paper or ETF game as more or less “day trading Experts”. Used to be, before the turn of this century, you paid your broker to buy actual stocks, you were issued stock certificates, and you just sat back and watched your shares grow until you cashed in the stock certificates. Now most people day or swing trade the ETF’s, which is under the thumb of the super computers like BlackRock’s ALADDIN (which owns or controls over 50% of all the ETF’s). ETF’s have no obligation to own anything they “track” in the portfolio they represent, and in fact, theoretically, when you buy a share of “XYZ”, that super computer can sell (short) that same “XYZ”share, thus nullifying your purchase. IMO that is why the markets have totally changed since the turn of the century as the ETF’s have been slowly introduced to the game. That is why when a stock should go up, it goes down. Good drill results are sold and poor drill results are bought. All logic has left the markets. Everything is being reversed by the super computers so they maintain total control of all markets today….but IMO, when the timing is right, the whole house of cards come tumbling down…and as WEF says “You’ll Own Nothing, But You’ll Be Happy”. (and broke) The only thing’s IMO that you can do to protect yourself are get out of debt, get Silver and Gold in hand, have a good supply of guns, ammo, and groceries on, and keep a low profile until after TSHTF! All FWIW.  Better to Count your wealth in Ounces, not dollars.

Powell was out there jibber-jabbering “to cut, or not to cut, that is the question.” He can’t answer it because he knows he HAS to cut.

Other than that, we are in lockstep with the SM & dollar today. Which is OK because the SM is up and the dollar is flat.

Israel will probably retaliate sometime soon, so we should decouple from the SM. We’ll see.

Interesting. This is weird action today. Markets are all over the map and it appears we are trading with the buy/sell programs going off every now and then.

At least we seem to have some underlying strength in gold as we’ve come $20 off the lows and are holding up and down around the flat line. I don’t know if there’s news of some kind but volatility is the game right now.

You would need a forklift to pick it up. If Gold closes in the $2400s, I think that would be a very good sign. Adjusted for inflation, it should be $2800 to match the $140/oz when we were allowed to own it.
