Shares looking like they bottomed this am, other than NEM, everything seems sold out early today. Hopefully that will be good news for the metals and a bottom there to. Glad to see silver holding $30 for now.

Although down 10% is pretty hard over a 7-day period. Rates have come back to near flat. Weird.

Although it may also be genius because he most likely is acquainted with many of the more junior officers. The troops will follow the junior officers if push comes to shove. On October 29, Goldman warned that “all hell is about to break loose in the repo market.” Since then, the SOFR rate (Secured Overnight Financing Rate) has gone from @4.82% to 4.59%. And the 10 year bond, in that time frame, has gone from @4.27% to 4.46%.

So, is a lot of this recent action, a huge proactive move (on the part of European and Asian) entities to mitigate their projected risk before Trump gets into office, or is this something else????

Trump Draft Executive Order Would Create Board to Purge Generals

WASHINGTON—The Trump transition team is considering a draft executive order that establishes a “warrior board” of retired senior military personnel with the power to review three- and four-star officers and to recommend removals of any deemed unfit for leadership.
If Donald Trump approves the order, it could fast-track the removal of generals and admirals found to be “lacking in requisite leadership qualities,” according to a draft of the order reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. But it could also create a chilling effect on top military officers, given the president-elect’s past vow to fire “woke generals,” referring to officers seen as promoting diversity in the ranks at the expense of military readiness.

As commander in chief, Trump can fire any officer at will, but an outside board whose members he appoints would bypass the Pentagon’s regular promotion system, signaling across the military that he intends to purge a number of generals and admirals.

Everything, literally everything is against us today. Dollar, rates, PPI numbers, Fed Speak, and the price of Bit-air soaring. Over 90 effing K for something you cannot hold. Just proof that man is not evolving, we are devolving.

Maybe they have to smash gold before the big bond market/repo crash/QE parade.

Please forgive me if I am off base, but I have a vague recollection that you once said you traded in the Futures Market.

If so, I saw something tonight that triggered another memory from long ago – very briefly here it is.

Going way back to the days of GATA, as gold was making its climb from the low $300s, every so often there would be a “blip” in trading – almost exactly like the blip in the screen shot below.  There was much speculation among the true believers that this was a signal from the enemy to their members indicating the direction and target of gold’s price.

If you have any thoughts on the subject you’d like to share, I would be interested to hear them.
