Bit Crap etc

Posted by Maddog @ 13:38 on December 2, 2024

When ever I need reassuring regarding Bit Crap…I think of that investing fool, Charlie Mungers opinion of it ……Rat poison ……

Plus check out the recent Joe Rogan interview with Marc Andreesen….Andreesen talks of many people who create Crypto’s, having their operations/Co’s shut down by being de-banked, at the behest of the State…his Partner in business being one……….which means that some Crypto’s are being ‘protected’ and others destroyed at birth…….it is fascinating and sinister…..yet it never makes the press……so what on earth is going on ??????

Doge

Posted by goldielocks @ 13:07 on December 2, 2024

I look at some of these as long as approved are like lotto picks. although possible Head and shoulders for now. Same with XRP.

My guess when Bitcoins get all bought up money will be moving to other coins. With the big holders they have different ways to make money off their coins without having to sell them that’s where Simon Dixon comes in with all that knowledge and they don’t want Government into Bitcoin and like gold which he also bought urges people to have it in their own custody.  Most already did buy land and Tesla’s that Musk was accepting Bitcoin for awhile and gold also accepting Bitcoin. He also warned that there will be cryptos popping up and to be careful.

One of the things she says is that the proposed Gov BTC reserve would be a giant scam … that the bitcoin billionaires are trapped in their investments because if they sell it would knock the price way down. They want the gov with it’s retirement reserves (those that exist) and taxpayer money to take this BTC off of their hands so that they can buy land and other real assets.

She is no friend of bitcoin!

I’m not trying to sell you on cryptos I don’t own any yet anyways but have the ETFs and miners that process the trades. I sent this to my daughter the other night.

Some are showing head and shoulders patterns so all have to have stops like anything else.

This list has Doge and XRP. The linky daughter sent a promotion is the easy way to buy and sell it.

A couple years ago I found you could of been buying Bitcoin before it took off through Robinhood without fear of it being stolen but the difference was you can’t transfer it out to take possession they just cash you out is what I read by people wanting to take possession  so guessing it could be a tracking system. Since they came up with ETFs.

I could try that. It looks like they are busy working on the site as of now, maybe they’ll just fix the problem. It already takes up to an hour every morning. If it’s going to take more time …

Cheers

Re News

Again tks for doing that each day……Dunno if this helps …but u could right click the link, on the page and choose to open in a new tab…..then do what u like with new page/tab, close it down and do the same on the next item etc….That way the ‘source ‘ page/tab stays the same, in the original tab.

Since I haven’t bought any of the coins I looked it up for you.

Yes, you can cash out Dogecoin (DOGE) on Coinbase by selling your Dogecoin holdings for fiat currency (like USD) and then withdrawing the funds to your bank account; essentially, you can “cash out” your Dogecoin on the platform.

It’s basically a escape from falling currency’s but start ups can make you money if they are legitimate. Just like anything copycat start ups can appear.

It reminds me of those gold lotto explorer  picks.

Seems to me the only way they could go the way of the Dot.com is if people got a sudden confidence in currency and financial privacy and that went out the window when Obummer got in and started hunting other people’s money me xee how that changed from along with to me xee??   with it’s being devaluated because of the same idiots.

I would hope that we could stay out of it but we’re likely already involved. Here we go again supporting the jihadi’s. If they make enough inroads Israel may invade Syria too. I’m not sure why we have such a hard on for Assad but we sure do! Maybe it’s all part of the Israel expansion plan.

Me too.

Syria is a scrambled mess. The players are all over the map and there are odd alignments. Turkey for example is sort on the side of Israel but opposite Russia. Turkey hates Israel. Al-Qaeda is fighting for us and Israel.

Regardless, one of the few Biblical prophecies yet to take place is that Damascus will be leveled. Doesn’t seem so out of the realm of possibility, does it?

“tech goes up every day”

I must admit I have a bit of tech envy.

This situation is crazy complicated!

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:22 on December 2, 2024

BIGGER WAR: Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah, Fatemiyoun groups and other Iran allied groups who were on their way to Syria arrived and are moving to the frontline in the north.

-> The promised big war in the Middle East seems to have started and take shape.

It was not US attacking Iran, but “moderate rebels” starting a big war in Syria.

-> U.S. Airstrikes targeted the Town of al-Mayadin in Eastern Syria to strike Iran allied militias.

Now we have essentially a situation where:
– Iran sent reinforcements to Syria
– US attacks militia groups
– Russia sent reinforcements and flies extensive airstrikes
– Turkey supplies and sends more rebels from the border
– All the factions in Syria are active and fights, including Kurds

I would not be surprised if Israel’s sees a chance and goes in to “secure a safety zone” in the south.

Let’s see, but it looks like this could become a major theater.

I’m not sure it’s that the dollar is so strong as much as it is Euro weakness. Course the other fiat sucks too.

Maybe the collapse will originate in Europe, not in the US?

Regardless, whatever happens, tech still goes up every day. Unreal.

I’m not sure that France can pull itself out of the hole it’s in. Unless they can get someone like Donald Trump in there (Le Pen?) with parliamentary backing then they are going to continue down the drain. The illegal migrants there are a huge destabilizing influence and I don’t see much clamor to get rid of them. Is it going to take a Civil War? I dunno.

Ipso – so LePen’s party is squeezing them, so good to see. I think they’ll have a hard time putting her in jail, similar to what Trump went through. Good for her and her party. Europe is an absolute mess; it almost seems like they are on the verge of collapse to me. I don’t see how the EU holds on and I don’t see how most of these countries don’t go belly up. Similar to all the countries in the west, including us.

Goldie – doesn’t it concern you that there are so many different coins out there and all of them are being bought with both fists? Do the exchanges convert them to dollars or Euro’s for you if you buy, say Dogecoin, and it goes up 100%? Can you sell it back to the exchange for dollars?

It really reminds me of 2000 when anything with .com went up endlessly. Until the music stopped. Remember all the high flyers?

Must say I’m surprised

that our metals have come all the way back to flat from the overnight lows. Silver is especially pleasing after bouncing off $30 and we’re doing this with the dollar notably higher and rates up near 6 bips.

Unfortunately, the shares are still pretty weak, so not sure we’ll be able to hold any gains if we get them in the metals. Good to see gold has come back to the $2650 magnet, which is where they took it in the AH on Friday.

We have some eco data coming out after the SM opens that could impact things, PMI and ISM manufacturing data come out at 9:45 and 10 am respectively. The bar is set low for both, so prolly going to beat.

For now, just glad we’re not looking at another slaughter like last Monday, at least not yet.

CEO.CA has done a revamp of their website making it impossible to access their news in a timely manner. Now, when I post a news item off of their list and hit the back button to get back to where I was on the list it takes me back instead to the latest news. So then I have to scroll through hundreds of news items to get back to where I was … and I have to do this for every news item. Effing ridiculous and I’m just not going to do it.

The dollar is backed by nothing and that’s all you’ll get in return for in any stock you own. I don’t have much of them but so far my luck has been pretty good thanks.
