Israel Launches Ground Invasion Of Lebanon: Operation Northern Arrows

IDF troops have begun limited, localized and targeted raids against Hezbollah terror targets in the border area of southern Lebanon

In accordance with the decision of the political echelon, a few hours ago, the IDF began limited, localized, and targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. These targets are located in villages close to the border and pose an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel.

The IDF is operating according to a methodical plan set out by the General Staff and the Northern Command which IDF soldiers have trained and prepared for in recent months.

The Israeli Air Force and IDF Artillery are supporting the ground forces with precise strikes on military targets in the area.

a little surprising given that the dollar is up this am, although bonds are rallying and the 10 yr. is down 4.5 bips, so that could be helping. Or, it just could be that our metals are in super bull market mode. 🙂

Shares up a bit this am, although they have some work to do to get back what was lost yesterday.

We’ve got some eco data, don’t know what kind of an impact it will have, PMI Manufacturing and ISM Manufacturing. ISM tends to matter more. Both will of course be better than expectations because this administration consistently puts out phony eco numbers to make things seem better, so we’ll have to see if the algo’s decide to smite us.

Oil was down big earlier but has recovered almost all. Bitcoin up 1%.

So who’s in charge, Butthead?! Maybe their homes are gone or not safe or water lwhere bacteria a mold will grow. . Some are surrounded by water,stranded and can’t get out, no electricity to call anyone.
So Fema has forms to fill out? How no electric? They need basic water food shelter help now.
Where is housing vouchers for the homeless, a medical unit to treat injuries that can get infected, transportation to shelters even if they have to use a school bus or tractor in a flood if necessary and evacuate them give them vouchers. If they do have distributions what about the ones who can’t get out to get them? What ever else their supposed to do. locals don’t get much help it seems. One food box by red cross if they show up isn’t gonna do it.

Very true. 2 million people are still without power. That alone is a challenge especially in areas of North and South Carolina where they probably didn’t expect the kind of flooding they got. The folks here have generators where I live, they just needed the water to recede to get them fired up. Gas stations are still open and most of the damage was limited to the coast. Different story up there. So tough.

They will need help there for quite some time. Those dock workers should delay their strike. Those guys make nearly $200K a year with great benefits and pensions. They want a 70% pay increase. They’ll look awful greedy if they strike in a time of turmoil.

I have a sneaky feeling, the pricing is done by computers. Machines. Relaying them against the commodities. Because share buyers are far different than highly leveraged commodity buyers. I doubt very much, most people buy or sell shares up and down so often.

Still seem strong to me. They are butchering the shares, but that’s par for the course. Then again not all of them as NEM down less than 1%.
Hard to imagine why anyone would dump the shares so quickly. But it seems they do it time and time again. I don’t miss them at all.
