When I was in public school , the teachers moved around the classroom with a strap tucked under their arm . A strap was made of layers of rubber and canvas , about two inches wide, 18 inches long and a quarter of an inch thick . They were authorized to use it , but did not have to – just knowing they could , deterred the potential trouble-makers . Respect for authority was instilled at home . My father spanked me once , I deserved it , and never gave him cause again .
In the classroom , we had to learn to do arithmetic mentally for addition and subtraction , had to memorize multiplication tables from 1X1 to 12X12 , learned block alphabet and cursive penmanship , graduating from pencil to pen and ink by the fouth grade. We had spelling tests weekly from lists of words that we also had to know the definition of. That continued until entering high school after completing the eighth grade . There was ‘assembly’ each morning with a short Bible scripture read to us , followed by singing the national anthem and God save the king (Canada). In Ontario , if you planned to go to college there were five years of high school , the tech and Commercial (office skills) students stopped after the 12th grade . Math classes included Euclidean Geometry , Algebra , and Trigonometry , as well as prep for Calculus . History , Geography , Chemistry and Physics were mandatory . English , French and a choice of Latin or German were also mandatory . We were also taught to play a musical instrument for two years and had already learned how to read a musical score .
I will never forget going to McD’s a few years ago and my food came to $3.87 . I gave the girl at the register $5.12 , and she tried to hand back the coins . I said no , ring up $5.12 , not just $5 . She did and her eyes got big as she handed me a dollar and a quarter change . Then she said ” How did you DO that ? ” !!!
All I could say was that I had learned to do simple arithmetic as a child before the third grade . She was amazed .

Yep preparing and warning. Also if parents pull their kids out of school to home school they shouldn’t have to pay taxes for schools. They should be able to deduct that or get a refund.
A female and beautiful blond with this really awesome Harley inlaw of a deceased brother of mine in Wisconsin said she’s sick of seeing that B***h or hearing her voice. Meaning you know who. She isn’t alone.
goldielocks
Our kids are going to be living in more “interesting times” than we are! I hope a lot of parents are preparing their children.

That’s another thing dumbing them down vaccines, fluorides, chemicals in food, bad water, and not enough exercise without getting run over, assaulted or kidnapped. The kids are all inside playing video games or girls chatting on tic toc or whatever.
And BTW that POS at the WHO who’s not a doctor tied with terrorists and was all chummy aiding China in covering up the covid leak wants to force us to be their lab rats!!

I know and what I see in California making American kids to think it’s not important while making migrant kids to think it is. Making white American children think their bad and brown children to think their poor victims or better than the white children and this virtue signaling BS.
. It’s also the way their teaching not putting enough time of their day in teaching the three Rs and including the the meaning of words or quotes in whatever their studying. That’s what sets them apart from computers. That includes not just learn dates either without meaning. What is 4 the of July. Dec 7 1941 and coming soon 911. Christmas, the Easter Bunny.
On top of that in California American parents who are busy working or having a hard time teaching their kids the normal way or truth about history because of the way their teaching in class who ask to put their child in after school programs that also helps them with their homework but their put on waiting list because they prioritized the migrants kids first.
So the kids are turning off their boring propaganda and yellow brick road he she’s and going on line playing video games that more entertaining.

I feel sorry for the employers who can’t find employees who have basic reading, writing and math skills!
Is Idiocracy coming? You’re right we’ll be easy pickings for the AI God! ![]()
Ipso-wow to both your posts!
Think about how dumbed down kids and people in general have become since the development of the smartphones. AI will prevent them from thinking at all. Robots will easily make them slaves, if not exterminate them altogether.
Sorry for that guy and his mother but he’s right to expose them and call for their arrests. We need to rid the planet of these people, if that’s what they actually are.
Always a struggle
A ridiculous struggle, but never for the QQQ’s, they come back every day. If they happen to sell off one day, they come back the next. When they should go up, they do. When they shouldn’t, they still do. Now that, is even more ridiculous.
Tragedy in motion
Stunning four-minute video from Ben Swann in Georgia, USA:
“WOW — Pascal Najadi, the son of WEF co-founder Hussain Najadi, is calling for the arrests of Bill Gates, WHO leadership, the WEF, Klaus Schwab, Big Tech and Pfizer.
He says he and his mother are now dying from the (Covid) “vaccine”, which he calls “poison”.”

If you don’t practice at something then you lose your proficiency.
I will say there’s a certain amount of people who need to be forced to learn. If they aren’t forced by the schools and parents then they will graduate high school as a functional illiterate. There’s a lot of people like that AI or not.
Ipso
If they don’t know how to write in the future it will be the schools and parents fault not AI’s.
Trending?
AI will kill writing – scientist
There won’t be many people who are able to write in about 20 years, computer expert Paul Graham has predicted
The use of Artificial intelligence (AI) for writing both at work and in school will result in the majority of people losing the skill in several short decades, Paul Graham, a computer scientist and author, has warned.
This will create a problem because writing means thinking, Graham, a veteran investor and cofounder of Y Combinator, a startup accelerator and venture capital firm, believes.
“The reason so many people have trouble writing is that it’s fundamentally difficult. To write well, you have to think clearly, and thinking clearly is hard,” he said in an essay posted on his website last week.
Normal share smack
to start the day, which of course leads to the bleed down of the metals.
Hopefully we can bounce back, the dollar and rates should be helping us in a normal market, right?

Aw heck maddog
Let’s go ahead and give it a 100% backing for $120K 🙂
Rates continue downward now 4.275%
The dollar is getting worked over, UUP down over 1/2%, course the dollar is further above its 50 dma than at any time in the past 5 years. Well overbought and overdue for a correction.
This hasn’t given pm’s a boost though as we’re actually down a little from where we were a couple of hours ago. We’ll see what the Crimex has in store for us. If the recent trend holds true, the HUI should start to rise again from here.
The perils of creating too much debt….
‘The total monetary gold reserves of the United States stand at 276 million ounces, or 7,824 tonnes, and are still valued at $42.2222 per ounce. That’s $11.7 billion on the books of the US Treasury, when at current prices they would be worth $739 billion.
But in the end, how much does this accounting difference matter when you consider the US debt of $35 trillion, ‘
So if the Fed/Government wanted a 10 % backing (3.5/0.79 )Gold needs to rise 4.5 times from here…ie $ @12000….if it wanted a 50 % backing we need to see Au @ $v 60,000
Gold squeeze v good article
Rates back down to 4.30%
Whatever that print on rates was on the CNN market page now shows the 10 yr. down 7 bips to 4.30%
Dollar looks a little lower. PM’s bouncing some in premarket with silver up $.37 back thru $32.50 and gold up $8 back thru $2740
Oil popping again, up almost 3% to $71.50. SM and Bitcoin flat – Bitcoin back under $70K to just under $69K
PM shares are firm but not exactly convincing. Long day ahead on election eve.
ferret, silverspike
ferret – Well, I think our trade deficit runs over $100 billion a month, so there’s some revenue there.
silverspike – I’m glad to see that the idea that there’s no need for an income tax and many other taxes is starting to come to the forefront. When you control a printing press, why do you need to tax anything? It’s the same as modern monetary theory without the taxation. Course there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth from all the Fed Reserve dependent entities because that’s how they enrich themselves off the sweat of our backs, but we don’t need them either. Cut government and their spending, empower businesses here to create and make our own stuff. We can use tariffs or even a small sales tax to provide for government spending.
Our entire economic system is a scam, meant to exert and keep control over “we the people.” Sounds crazy right? If the dollar was backed by gold, there’d be no inflation unless they kept devaluing the gold to print more currency, which has always been the tendency of governments. The Romans did it, and they collapsed.
The idea that the Fed prints our currency for us at interest is lunacy. Nathan Rothschild “Give me control of a nation’s currency and I care not who makes its laws.”
Cheap imports have been used as a method of hiding the never-ending devaluation of the dollar and inflation.

Your mom might be connected to the Kennedy era if a demo but that party no longer exists. Although because they only know what they saw on the news didn’t know Kennedy was regularly cheating on his wife.
Now it comes out Kamala’s VP pick not only went after nanny’s but had a affair overseas with a CCP who angered her and claimed he made her feel like a prostitute. What either saw in that guy I have no idea. I don’t know what it is about the demos and the Chinese Communist party other than the communist part.
Trump’s getting a good team together and glad Musk is getting in and has more say if the neocons try to use any of his expertise for evil. I hope they pass laws that if any other hack comes in they can’t executive order our country, elections, or economy out of existence.
My daughter just found out that woman that hit her didn’t have insurance.
Buygold, well, Trump’s certainly a lot smarter than Kamala!
But then, so is my dog. And Trump’s smart enough to bring in Musk etc. Picking independent guys like that, who are not sycophants, is a very smart move.
I’ve been trying to get my head around tariffs in the 21st century. I can see why they worked in a new country, where you had no manufacturing of anything. But the stronger your economy becomes, the less revenue tariffs provide. You’ve already onshored a lot of things with foreign motor plants, steel, aluminium, oil refineries etc. etc. so your tariff revenue as a proportion of GDP and govt. spending (at least before Musk and RFK get stuck in) will be a lot less than in the early 20th century. While I think they’ve a significant part to play, they won’t be the cure-all. The best use for tariffs is to stop dumping, so they’ll be very effective in protecting, say, the electric car industry in the US from the ridiculously cheap vehicles coming out of China (or China via Mexico!). Or below cost steel. Just so long as there are no tariffs on kangaroo products, because you can’t make them yourselves.
ferret, Goldie
I pretty much agree with you both, although ferret I think Trump is a lot smarter than given credit. I think he was naive in his first term, he’s from a generation when we just didn’t think the government would lie to us or was all bad. They said the Pledge of Allegiance and had the Ten Commandments in classrooms. People treated each other better, most of the country were at least “cultural Christians” in that there were certain rules they all lived by. Men still had a semblance of honor – even some politicians. My mom is a little older than Trump, she can’t see the truth because of her inability to believe that she is manipulated by propaganda – of the left. She grew up with the likes of Walter Cronkite, back when journalists actually reported news, didn’t give us their opinions about it, or repeat verbatim what the government told them.
Trumps idea of going back to tariffs is genius, I didn’t realize that’s what we did all the way up to Eisenhower. Then came Kennedy, and the CIA and military industrial complex became the Globalists arm of the US. Straight downhill from there. Listen to Eisenhower’s departure speech, he warned the country this was happening.
Turns out though, they’ve been lying to us for a lot longer than even the last 70 years or so. The difference is that a lot have awakened to it now, and it’s shocking. our country is a disgrace, and you’re right, the deep state is cornered. God has a plan, we’ll have to wait to find out what it is.
