Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has announced that her government will review a controversial bill, approved by the lower chamber of Congress in August, which aims to ban open-pit mining.

The proposed legislation also seeks to prohibit fracking and restrict water usage in areas where the resource is scarce, except for domestic purposes in populated areas.

“Open-pit mining warrants a thorough review, as activities such as sand extraction for cement production and lithium mining — critical for national development — are conducted using this method. It is vital to assess the specifics of the constitutional reform’s provisions,” Sheinbaum said in a statement.

She emphasized that the review will focus on ensuring environmental protection and is independent of corporate interests.

This of course would cause asset markets to fall … bringing in a more profound correction in PM’s as well … but should be relatively short lived considering hollowed out Western economies can’t allow their bubbles to wobble for very long without raising the specter of an unfixable policy mistake.

This is of course what they need to roll if the control state and 2030 agenda are to become a reality … so who knows … maybe it’s all part of the plan.

Looks like the markets are wrestling with the numbers rates coming back to flat and the dollar slipping a little.

Scum had already beaten silver back below $32 so mission accomplished there, they’ve now taken out $2700 gold. PM shares down a little over 1% in most cases. Hard to know if we’ll give it all back today, looks like it right now though, as they keep dropping the bids on GLD and SLV.

SM trying to inch positive, that thing is never affected by negative anything.

I’m not convinced the dollar is going to hold up today, but the dollar hasn’t mattered much in awhile.

I just happen to be watching a YouTube on the drones. Something very suspicious going on. They are not concerned over public safety, seriously? They were over one of Trump’s golf course and military bases and drones as big as buses and their not concerned? Someone would have to have a lot of money and tech know how and then there’s a large amount of them. This video gathered a lot of info, videos, helicopters chasing drones, pictures and  and questions. I’ll post it hopefully after I post this Fwiw.

I knew someone else would be up at this early hour, although you guys are out west so you may have just hit the sack as I’m getting up.

Goldie – that’s a lot of interesting charts. Doesn’t seem like those charts look too bad for the pm complex.

Silver is up 1% or so in the overnights, gold down a few bucks. Both were stronger earlier as silver was up over $.50 at one point but then rates and the dollar started to tick up and took the wind out of their sails. The very early look at pm shares has them flat for the most part.

The SM is down a pinch but really none of this is going to matter once the PPI numbers come out. I suspect if they are in-line we probably get the same results as yesterday. If a little hot, we may have some problems. We are getting to that time when volume is going to taper off near the holidays. Barring any black swan type of event, I don’t see why the SM won’t continue to sort of melt-up into Christmas with a rate cut coming and volume on the soft side.

We do have those mystery drones flying over NY and NJ but I suspect either the Pentagon or Elon Musk know exactly what those things are and where they are from, so I doubt it is a mystery at all. We had a Chinese spy balloon flying over the US for a while earlier in the year, so apparently our airspace is wide open for any old country that wants to have a look. The congressman from NJ claims they are from an Iranian drone mothership off the coast, the Pentagon denies that. Whatever happened to the US Gov’t. of honorable and serious men? Guys like Eisenhower and Kennedy, even Reagan? Our gov’t. is like a bad reality TV show, full of all sorts of weird ducks and dishonorable people. Clown world. I need to mosey on over to Kunstler’s site and see what he has to say about all this stuff.
