Liberal Alan Dershowitz:

Ted Cruz Was Among the Smartest Students I’ve Ever Taught

Liberal Harvard law prof, Alan Dershowitz told the Daily Caller that Ted Cruz was among the smartest students he ever taught.  He says that he and Cruz would debate while Dershowitz’s class would watch:

“He was always very active in class, presenting a libertarian point of view. He didn’t strike me as a social conservative, more of a libertarian.”

“He had brilliant insights and he was clearly among the top students, as revealed by his class responses.”

Dershowitz also had praise for Elizabeth Warren.  He says the IQ went up in the senate when those two were elected.  (Guess which one is the evil twin?)  Dershowitz says that Cruz’s career hasn’t surprised him one bit.  Cruz started as law clerk for Justice William Rehnquist, then Texas solicitor general, and is now a US Senator from Texas.  Before he announced that he was running for president, Dershowitz didn’t think he would run.  He said he believed that Cruz would try to establish himself more before running for president.

Huffington Post editorial director Howard Fineman recently said that Cruz’s professors were all in awe of his intellect:

here’s a fun scenario: november… libertarians (under gary johnson?) take a few small states – maybe 20 electoral votes. the heffalumps and the jackasses split the rest evenly (or close to even), neither getting an electoral college majority.
the election goes immediately to the house of representatives, each state delegation getting one vote (re-read the constitutional provisions on the election of a president).
the heffalumps, holding control of the most state delegations in the house, will prevail.
results:
a) the donald is elected president
b) THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY BECOMES A REAL POLITICAL FORCE.
c) the jackasses go home and pout.
from where i sit, it looks like an intriguing possibility.

I’m sure the grocery and restaurant owners won’t like it one bit. After an “incident” how are they on the spot to ascertain if the guy was so hungry he was starving? Are we to provide government officials to decide? How is this going to work in the inner city? Incredibly bad idea!

Ted Cruz wil be the LIBERALS worst nightmare

Posted by Ororeef @ 13:14 on May 4, 2016

if he’s on the Donalds list of Supreme Courts appointees  ..He knows the LAW.He has argued several cases before the Supreme Court and WON !

He will make Scalia look like a moderate (which he was)and I suspect other Liberals might opt to Retire   !

Dont underestimate the Italians ability to discern who’s genuinely hungry and who’s trying to take advantage  !  Nobody will die of starvation in Italy !

and the abusers will be dealt with quickly…..Have no fear …let them deal with it and dont take the news reports at face value its sensationalism to sell newspapers..just like the US….Its the news reporters that need to be punished ,not the hungry..

I agree …. if you’re starving go ahead and steal food. The problem is if a judge makes stealing food legal then anyone who is hungry can go and steal food with no consequences. The guy should have gotten a slap on the wrist instead of making theft legal. IMO

Helicopter Money not Needed

but a 50 % increase in SOC SEC  payments would do the trick ….It wouldent create a disincentive to work since they will not enter the work force again and they shouldent ,it would free up some that are still working to retire and give younger ones a job. These are the Savers that have been screwed by Obama  with zero return on their savings ..the very people that made capital available for investment got screwed by him..It would lighten the BURDON on their children for those that are subsidizing their Parents who have run out of income. thereby freeing money for spending and investment.  AND Besides these are the Greatest Generation that went through the Depression ,fought WW2 and WON !   Fought Korea & Vietnam and now their reward is Obama forces them to eat through their savings consuming it all for the last 7 years with NO return on savings ,raising the cost of Healthcare on those with NO Income and no prospect of income even if Trump is elected! THEY above all will spend wisely ,not on illegal drugs or entertainment ,but directly into the economy …its a good deal for everybody .It takes the burdon  off their children and creates jobs….

The accused shoplifter had not left the shop premises when he was arrested. I could put a package of hot dogs in my coat pocket and they could not charge me with shop lifting until I left the premises. As to stealing food because your hungry…Well if you are that desperate and your other option is starving to death then do what you gotta do.

A step on the road to chaos

License To Steal: Italy’s Highest Court Rules “Theft Not A Crime If Hungry”

In a ruling sure to heighten migration tensions in the EU, Italy’s highest court rules “Theft Not a Crime if Hungry“.

Stealing small amounts of food to stave off hunger is not a crime, Italy’s highest court of appeal has ruled.

Judges overturned a theft conviction against Roman Ostriakov after he stole cheese and sausages worth €4.07 (£3; $4.50) from a supermarket.

Mr Ostriakov, a homeless man of Ukrainian background, had taken the food “in the face of the immediate and essential need for nourishment”, the court of cassation decided.

Therefore it was not a crime, it said.

In 2015, Mr Ostriakov was convicted of theft and sentenced to six months in jail and a €100 fine.

However, his case was sent to appeal on the grounds that the conviction should be reduced to attempted theft and the sentence cut, as Mr Ostriakov had not left the shop premises when he was caught.

Italy’s Supreme Court of Cassation, which reviews only the application of the law and not the facts of the case, on Monday made a final and definitive ruling overturning the conviction entirely.

“The condition of the defendant and the circumstances in which the seizure of merchandise took place prove that he took possession of that small amount of food in the face of an immediate and essential need for nourishment, acting therefore in a state of necessity,” wrote the court.

Given that theft is no longer a crime, I expect an enormous outbreak of theft from Italian grocery stores.

Re Hitlery I’m amazed she has got this far…hopefully it is the end of her, as the only good she has done is to expose just how biased yr media is. Any GOP candidate with an ounce of her troubles would have been destroyed, that she is still there is purely down to the media protecting her.

But now she has to face the Donald and he will drag all of her past up…if he has time !!!!!! there is so much of it…she may well quit, as if she stays the beating is going to be merciless.

I also hear she may well not be that well, like where was she last night.

Looks like they have got the shares on the run here, despite a good bounce in the metals.

Good morning Oasis

I guess I just don’t see massive support here for Hitlery on the Dem side. Besides all her personal corruption issues, taking money from banksters, Saudi’s, FBI investigation etc. As one Bernie supporter said yesterday “I’m tired of voting for the lesser of two evils”. Men don’t like her, Dems don’t like her ties to Wall Street and warmongering.

At the end of the day people just don’t want to vote for the devil they do know.

ADP Report was weak, USD getting hit back down. Hopefully we can hold the $1280 level.

My server slowed right now for the audio.

One thing we need to look at right now is keepa eye on job numbers on Friday.
Then start listening to what the Fed is hinting too with interest rates. Will they start talking them up or not,  to get a feel if they will raise them in June.
If they don’t want to hurt  the market if economy slow with a rate increase will it be seen as bullish or bearish?
Maybe current downtrend is pricing in ahead of time a bearish view of the economy. Dollar could get a little volatile but likely be bearish with no rate raises. Will this be when these three start moving in sinc? Who knows?? Have to wait for Armstrongs take lol  Then we’ll have to look at next market reaction in September. If they don’t have one in June and it’s seen as bearish will it drive DOW dollar and commodities down. If they don’t have one in June the pressure will build for September.

These mad men are predictable.

Soros throwing his money away again to try to stop Trump. Maybe they should take advantage of it like he does and demand a raise say 50 a hour. Heck why not 100 a hour. At the same time any paid protester of Soros who damages property or harms anyone sue Soros for damages.
