Loading ...Half and half is what the headlines are telling us. Half for, half against. Britain at the Freedom Crossing. (Maya should have a picture of that.) And if the media here is to be believed, America finds itself in a similar situation. We sit staring at the crossing signs and the flashing warning lights. Do the people chose Freedom, or do we stay with the Nanny State/Big Brother ? Freedom is scary! And not for the faint of heart. We can fail, or maybe we might succeed? America certainly has a history of success for 200 years, overcoming our fears of the future and recovering from our mistakes. Choosing Freedom should be an easy choice for us. Perhaps a harder decision for our British cousins.
The elites, those holding the scepter of power and expecting our obedience, are scared that we might ask for a little more freedom. If the Brits vote to leave, some say that the banks will collapse, folks will loose jobs, and all babies will be born with two heads ! Ok, I made that last one up. But its a similar message we hear if Trump wins; the banks will collapse, people will loose jobs, and babies will be born instead of murdered in their mother’s womb.
Like a lot of folks, I am sitting back watching all this. Watching the Powers That Be declare the End of the World, if we dont obey, vote, as they wish and continue to digest their lies. To tell you the truth, I am leaving room enough to say they just might be right in their dooms day predictions. For sure their world will end with the loss of power. The world us regular folks live in, might see some hard times. When the slaves were set free, it was probably hard times having left the master’s house. They had to start over, find work, a way to eat. But they did it, those fiercely strong souls rose up and did it. And I have not heard a one of them say it (freedom) was not worth it, or that they would like to go back.
Course, nowadays I reckon most of us are really slaves to the system and Big Brother. And slaves to the banks. Few of us are truly free. Even fewer of us seem to be capable of even thinking, or being able to make up our minds. So used to our values, thoughts, & morals, what is right and wrong , what is fashionable having been decided and told to us.
I wish good tidings to the Brits as they cast their votes today. Perhaps they can set the course for America, show us how to set ourselves free. I am going with Trump, because best as I can tell, he is a free man. Even free enough to say things most of us would never utter in public. (We have learned our political correctness lessons well). Yep, I am voting for a free man, with the hope that he can lead us, help us, to be free once again. Kinda scary huh?
