on the subject of daydreaming, here’s a little thought you’ve probably come across before. If you add a zero to gold’s highs and lows of the 1970s, then allowing for printing, you get a rhyme for the present price behaviour:
1971Â -$34 close enough to rhyme with $220 in 2000
1975 – $195 roughly equates to the high of $1030 in 2008
1977 – down to $137 similarly proportional to the low of $700 in 2008
1980 – $800, not unlike … ?

Not that I am greedy, but let just one country announce they are backing all or just a part of their currency with gold or silver, and watch what happens. On that day, I think you can fold up your favorite gold chart into an airplane, and send it skyward to get an idea of how high gold and silver are going. That will be the price for an actual ounce, held in your hand.
I think the old Chinese curse is upon us, “May you live in interesting times.”
And I think the old phrase, “Good as gold.” will take on a new meaning most can hardly imagine.

that my TWO GOLD FUNDS  TGLDX & GOLDX are climbing just as FAST as many Exploration stocks .Their charts have a sharp angle up ! with diversification risk minimized ! Many of the Funds are holding the same stocks (Royalties)cash,Bullion ..I figured that out years ago !
The only Fund I wouldent touch is VANGUARD Precious metals ..The reason is some years ago when the move started I was in VGPMX and as soon a Gold took off ,they closed their Fund to NEW investors and would only take SELL ! orders ! Â WHAT ? That was absurd and against MY INTERESTS .. I suspect they were getting redemptions in the S&P stocks with orders to buy GOLD instead ..The S&P was a Giant business for them so they looked out for themselves first .I quickly sold all I had in their GOLD ? FUND and switched to TOUCQUEVILLE FUND I made 300 % on the switch while their FUND went nowhere for months .I would have lost several hundred thousand. I never forgot that treachery and will never go back to Vanguard.
No matter who gets elected our next President, we are in for rough times ahead. If its Hillary, then the progressive socialist movement will continue to push our Freedoms off the nearest cliff. If by some miracle, and its going to take one, Trump wins, he has a mess to clean up before we begin rebuilding this country. Either way, I can see a whole lot of pain coming down.
And you are exactly right. Gold and Silver but one thing we all need to be stacking. Better be watching out, taking care of, a multitude of  items. The check list seems to grow longer by the day. And if I had to put one thing ahead of most others it would be to be nice. Be nice to people around you. Today is a good day to start a program of Random Acts of Kindness. Mow the neighbors grass is he aint feeling so good. Call up an old friend just to check in. A lot of folks are already hurting, its time to be of some help. Besides being the ‘Right Thing’ to do, it will probably pay dividends in the future. One way or another, having friends around us may just make the biggest difference of all. Mind if I tell you a story?
Several years back I gave the fellow from India who runs the local convenience store a silver eagle as a gift to celebrate the birth of his first son. I will never forget the look of surprise on his face. Im not sure if it was because a customer would treat him in that fashion, or if it was the Silver Eagle. And believe me, as all folks from that part of the globe do, what an ounce of silver was. Kinda nice to give a gift to someone who truly appreciates it.
Anyways, a year or two later we had a little problem with the gas and diesel supply in these parts. Nothing like the long lines of the 70’s mind you, but fuel was getting a little  sparse. So I pulled in to the store and the owner pulled me off to the side and told me no matter what, he was saving me a hundred gallons of diesel in case I needed it. Even if he had to put a sign up ‘Out of Fuel’ he told me to come on in and he would fill up the truck.
I have yet to place the value of that one particular Silver Dollar. I have a feeling, my remembering the birth of his son, and my small gift of an ounce, may return many, many, times over. Every now and then I like to kid around and I ask him if he is still holding my fuel? His reply is always the same, and said in a most serious way, “Always Mr. Farmboy, always!” You know, I believe him. I believe he is a man of his word. A Single ounce is not a bad price to make a new friend.
Yeah, Rainbow, time is running short I think. Best heed the calls all around us, and start on the checklist. Not just for ourselves, but so we can be in the position to be of help to others. Kinda like a prayer I heard once. ” God bless me with all that I need, and a little extra, so I can help someone else.” Think that embraces a spirit of gratitude that will get us through.

Was not that long ago, ok, well, about ten years ago I could still dig 40-50 post holes in a day. Today, you would be lucky if I could dig a dozen post holes. In part, it’s kinda like my attitude towards drinking. I think I will let the younger ones pick up my slack. I see a lot of young men around town. Mostly doing nothing that I can tell. Some do flip the occasional burger or provide that double chocolate scooped ice cream cone. And I appreciate they being there to serve me, but I cant help but wonder if their purple hair, tattooed arms, could haul 50 or 60 bales fo shingles up on a roof. I even wonder if they know what a hammer is?
That is pretty much how I view the gold bashers these days. Seems it was but a few years back when they could knock gold down 20, 30, or even 50 bucks in a mornings work. I think their arms are tired, and like noodles now. They seem to do ‘good’ if they can bop gold for a ten buck, and even then, their efforts have little or no lasting effect. The Boyz seem to be running out of steam. Losing the battle in the pits.
Ya know, somedays I am so bored, I almost wish they would make things exciting again with say an exhilerating $100.00 down roller coaster dive. Imagine it would be like riding in Maddog’s Jaguar doing a hundred on some curving road. So far today, watching them at work is about as exciting as swatting flies. Well, I guess I get my thrills where I find em.

But if Trump does not win it will be because Hillary got 110% of the votes, just like Obama did in many states. I’ve asked this question before but never get a response. What is ANYONE doing to make sure this election is not another crooked one?? What is being done to make sure the voting machines are not rigged?? What is being done to make sure all voters are legal voters?? Since this subject never comes up I would assume the MSM has been instructed to say not a word on the subject.
I wish to hell somebody with the power would take on this project to be certain this coming election is a fair and honest one. If so I would say trump will win by the most votes ever recorded in American history…..not because everybody likes Trump, but because they know they don’t want lying Hillary to lead them further into hell. I really think America is beginning to wake up!!

I’m getting old, pretty sure of it, because I find myself day dreaming a lot more these days. My chores are simple and few enough that it allows my mind to wander onto different things besides the task at hand.
I have one particular thing that I day dream a lot these days, and it always brings a smile to my face. I try to imagine the price of Gold and Silver 5 years from today. Or even just two years. I agree 98% with the author of that article. The PTB and their games are coming to an end. And when the smoke clears, I continue to hold to idea that only ounces will matter or count. Not because I wish it to be so, I simply see no other option.
Guess I will keep stacking, and adding to the food pantry is probably a good idea as well. Seen where folks were standing in line for 12 hours to get something to eat in Venzoolayem. I hate standing in lines.

Unequivocally, the rubber is hitting the road NOW! So much so, I believe “last to go” markets are in danger of being overwhelmed by the chaotically scrambling, Keystone Kop-like, terminally cancerous “powers that be.” And by “last to go,” I don’t just mean the gold and silver markets, which are being swamped by exploding physical demand, collapsing production, vanishing inventories, and history’s most violently PM-bullish political, economic, and monetary environment. No, I mean everything else; including hideously overvalued stock markets – which cumulatively, will either crash into oblivion, or hyper-inflate Zimbabwe style; with the result, in either case, being the biggest real losses of all time. To that end, kudos to Gordon Long, who in this article, opened my eyes to the massive head and shoulders top formation in global stock markets, which is breaking down as we speak; ominously, led by financials. Which is exactly why he – and I – anticipate Central banks are about to go “all in” on hyperinflation.

The elites have lied to us for so long, and it has mostly worked with a lot of folks, some dont know how to handle a man like Trump. He simply gets in front of an audience, time after time, and shines a light on the darkened back rooms of lies and deceit that we have been fed thanks to the collusion of the Media. He aint afraid, to call someone out on their lying, cheating, ways. And he has something we have not seen in a long, long time. It is called character. And he does not need, nor seek, money or approval from those in Washington and that includes politicians and lobbiest of all stripe.
And Trump talks about change. Real change. Brick and mortar kind of change. And he talks about putting America first, again. And a lot of folks simply cant handle even the thought of such, without getting sick to their stomach. Those wretched ones of evil are feeling the heat of Truth. And they see a crowd gathering around Trump, and they are running scared. They are beginning to act like a rabid animal that is cornered, hissing, snarling, and spitting.
And its just getting started, this battle against Truth, and Trump. I hear Hillary has 100 million to run Tv adds. And I am sure Soros, Buffett, or a host of others will quickly give her another few hundred million as needed. The ones we hear spewing the most hate, are most likely the ones who have the most to lose if Trump wins, and Truth reigns.
A lot of folks are old enough to have grown up with Heros. Â We had a whole bunch of em. Superman, Batman, Roy Rogers, and of course, John Wayne, The Duke. Trump kinda reminds me of some of these characters. I believe Trump says what he means, and means what he says. Truth, plain and simple. America has a choice to make come November. In my mind it really is about making up our minds, do we support, stand for, embrace, Truth, or will it be the continuation of things evil, and letting the Elites continue to run down our Country.
God Bless America. But I think He is leaving it up to us to decide which direction, which path, we wish to choose. We are about to see, what kind of heart America has. And in my opinion, its too close to call.

Philippines & Indonesia: Mining companies face increased compliance risks, further uncertainty
•Both the Philippines and Indonesia are seeking to reinforce environmental regulations and increase revenues from the mining sector, compounding longer-term difficulties for mining operators in both countries.
•Mining firms could face penalties for not complying with previously unenforced regulations, especially in the Philippines where President Rodrigo Duterte has spoken against the negative effects of mining on communities.

Silver Wheaton saw its stock price jump almost 3% on Tuesday, following a report that the company will increase its goldstream from the Salobo mine in Brazil. The $800 million deal with a Vale subsidiary provides Silver Wheaton an additional 25% of output of gold equivalent over the mine’s life.
This latest acquisition will add to Silver Wheaton’s existing 50% of gold production from Salobo; Brazil’s largest known copper deposit. President and CEO of Silver Wheaton, Randy Smallwood, announced on Tuesday that; “We did not hesitate at the opportunity to increase our exposure to a mine with one of the lowest copper cash costs in the world, 50 years of mine life on reserves alone, and what we believe to be substantial exploration and expansion potential.”
The Vancouver based company has revised its production guidance to reflect the new stream. The forecast for 2016 has been upped to 305,000 ounces, while projected annual gold production over the coming 5 years is expected to reach an average of 330,000 ounces a year.

Venezuelan opposition clears another referendum hurdle (Aug. 2, 2016)
Venezuela’s National Electoral Council (CNE) approved the first of two petitions needed to carry out a recall referendum against President Nicolás Maduro.
The much postponed decision was far from certain, and represents at least a modest win for the opposition, according to the Wall Street Journal. (See last Wednesday’s post.)
The decision recognizes the MUD opposition coalition as a valid mediator to request the referendum, explains Efecto Cocuyo.
But the opposition promised to resume marches and protests as the CNE refused to provide firm dates or assurances that the referendum will happen this year, reports the Miami Herald.
