I KNOW you are NOT a nitwit. Pretty much the opposite you are. I’m glad you said what you said. Inventories and purchasers are related to RETAIL. And the BOZOS have no business, putting RETAIL in a “productivity” subject.

I was talking my experiences with factories, factory PRODUCTION workers.

Retail certainly is in big trouble. manufacturing started having trouble after 1975. All others problems came later. Retail second to last. The last to have trouble are the public employees.

I see signs manufacturing is returning. We were first out in ’75, and first back in after ’09. Retail will be bad for a long time imo.

Mr.Copper @ 10:23 I’m Probably A Nitwit, But Here Is My Simplistic View

Posted by Farmboy @ 10:35 on August 9, 2016

Low productivity, compiled with increased inventories tells me the economy is slowing. I read the increase in inventoy as buyers are holding back on purchases. (shrug) I really dont know, and have a great deal of trouble believing anything the Gubberment says. 🙂

Apparently the markets are taking it all as good news this morning.

Farmboy @ 8:52 re US productivity unexpectedly drops for a third straight quarter

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 10:23 on August 9, 2016

This is my unique observation or view, not gleaned from mass media.

The above drop in productivity is actually a very good sign of growing jobs. It’s pretty simple. The opposite of that in INCREASED productivity, a negative sign, for workers. Same amount of work with less workers.

For example, if an employer lays off some of the crew, for lack of profit, the remaining crew has to work harder, and the financial mass media considers it an increase in worker productivity.

When profits are up, and the boss can afford to hire his brother-in-law, or employees can get their friends in, productivity per employee drops. Same amount of work, with more profit, and more employees.

China buying Gold Mines Instead of Gold Bullion

A top industry official from the China Gold Association told The China daily back in February that the Chinese purchase of IMF bullion would cause market speculation and volatility. Instead, China is continuing to buy gold not directly from the market but through acquiring gold mines…abroad!

Dennis Gartman reported in March: “Perhaps we are to begin owning gold mines rather than gold futures of gold ETFs. We have avoided owning mines for years, preferring the “purer” play of owning gold rather than the mines, for we fear being exposed to poor mine management, or accidents in a mine that might do damage to the equity while gold itself moves higher. But if the Chinese authorities want to own mines, perhaps we have to consider doing so also…”

Gold (XAU/USD) has racked up impressive gains of 21 percent in the first half of 2016

21%?? Big Deal–CDE was about $1.60 in January–Yesterday it closed at 15.68–that’s about a 1000% return…same deal with most PM stocks up=100-200-300 percent–those holding one oz gold coins shoulda had there money in “paper” instead…O! The irony of it all!

US productivity unexpectedly drops for a third straight quarter

Posted by Farmboy @ 8:52 on August 9, 2016

The Labor Department said on Tuesday that productivity, which measures hourly output per worker, dropped at a 0.5 percent annual rate in the April-June period. It was the third consecutive quarterly decline.

Productivity fell at an unrevised 0.6 percent rate in the first quarter. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast productivity rising at a 0.4 percent rate in the second quarter.

Productivity decreased at a 0.4 percent rate compared to the second quarter of 2015, the fastest pace of decline in three years. Revisions to data going back to 2013 also confirmed the softening productivity trend, which over time would suggest pressure on corporate profits and a slowdown in job gains.”

War with China: Thinking Through the Unthinkable

Posted by Farmboy @ 8:37 on August 9, 2016

“All war ends in military war. Currency, economic, whatever the name. Its resolution is a  reset through violent means. The current fray over the South Sea is based on natural resources that China wants access to. The War paper herein is based in large part on the failure to rectify that economic situation. All war is economic war.- Soren K.”

Gold and silver bull market correction expected

Posted by Farmboy @ 8:18 on August 9, 2016

A bull market in gold and silver has been confirmed, but no bull market is sustainable on a nonstop price spike, therefore, it is not if but, when a correction will begin. Bull market corrections can be very sharp but short-lived, therefore, the next cycle bottom could be an excellent entry point.”

Gold and silver futures trading coming to London exchange in early 2017

Posted by Farmboy @ 8:13 on August 9, 2016

Gold and silver futures contracts will launch in London in early 2017, providing competition for U.S.-based Comex trading as participants hope to create more transparency and deeper markets for the precious metals.

The World Gold Council and the 139-year-old London Metal Exchange (LME), together with Goldman Sachs GS, +0.46%   , ICBC Standard Bank, Morgan StanleyMS, +0.38%  , Natixis, OSTC and Societe Generale, will introduce a suite of exchange-traded and centrally-cleared precious metals products in the first half of next year, pending regulatory approvals, they said Tuesday.

A desire for greater market transparency, support of ongoing regulatory change, additional robustness to the precious metals market, broader market access, capital-efficient trading and easier trade lifecycle management drove the creation of competing products, the participating firms said.”

Comment: Approximately six sheets of 20-pound paper weigh 1 ounce together. Each sheet of paper weighs approximately 16/100 of an ounce, so six sheets weigh 96/100 of an ounce. How many more paper ounces can they create ??! Geesh!

And so are these men in businesses or countries if not our war paying off congress ” but not us” to start or fight wars with others and now they don’t even need to declare war to do it. I used to think the same until I seen women slither their way in like Billary Lynch et all who are just as corrupt. I also though how these old men in office sitting safely on the side lines thinking up ways to put young men now women in harms way. Like that slob Kissinger and his arrogant comment somthing about there just dumb animals there to do our bidding. A lot of these carrear politicans got out of the military or given safe jobs.

Like I mentioned the political system after WW11 started propaganda including in schools not promoting independence or even democracy but that it’s our PURPOSE in life to put ourselves in harms way and pay for it too, to clean up everyone else’s mess or fulfill an agenda that they create. If your not your not a patriot.  Go ask Mikey, Mikey will do it. That has to change. That is no disrespect to military just a disfunctional system testimg disfunctional people.

What might be funny to see is these progressive Libs sending their daughters off to Canada now. Lol They know it won’t affect their family Cuz they’ll give them a pass.

Sex with Hillary

by J. Orlin Grabbe

“Susan McDougal had sex with Bill Clinton, and the government lets her have all the media access she wants while in jail.”

I was sitting in a locked room in the Laurel County Detention Center in London, Kentucky, with Charles S. Hayes. We were sampling the prison fare. There was a slice of ham, two slices of bread, green beans, potato salad, and raisins. As a legal assistant to Hayes’ lawyer, Gatewood Galbraith, I was allowed direct access to Hayes.

Susan McDougal was a partner with her husband James McDougal and Bill and Hillary Clinton in the Whitewater development project. Hayes was referring to a well-known, and well-documented, picture of Bill Clinton and Susan McDougal having sex on top of James McDougal’s sports car.

He was also referring to the fact that U.S. District Judge Jennifer B. Coffman had denied Hayes’ request to hold a press conference at the Detention Center

“Does that mean,” Hayes continued, “that to get permission for a press conference I have to have sex with Hillary?”

I reflected that First Family sex had been much in the news recently. There was the Paula Jones case, where Bill Clinton was accused of exposing his penis to Jones and asking her to kiss it. And there was the recent American Spectator article (“Hell to Pay,” by Rebecca Borders, January 1997) which quotes David Watkins as saying Bill Clinton was having an affair with his “hippie girlfriend” Marsha Scott, while Hillary was having an affair with Vince Foster.

I looked inquiringly at Hayes. “I flatly refuse to have sex with Hillary,” Hayes said. “Besides, I’ve talked to more than one person who has done so, and they tell me she’s no good.”

“Would you care to name them?” I asked, thinking of one ex-White House staff member I knew about, who was still alive.

“If I’m put under pressure, I will,” Hayes said.
