Newmont should certainly be paying a higher dividend. A big divvy raise would goose the whole industry, make people realize they can get an income plus appreciation from these Big established miners
Plus it would help keep the shorts off their neck!
Food for thought
“Newmont’s quarterly average realized price for gold jumped about 41% to $2,944 per ounce, compared with a year ago, while gold production fell 8.3% to 1.54 million ounces, hurt by reduced contributions from its non-core operations.”
We have spent most of April above $3K. Imagine what their earnings will look like if that avg. selling price jumps to $3,300 and the 8% production glitch gets remedied.
They are trading at 11 x earnings right now with gold realized at $2944. I believe that’s historically cheap for them and backward looking. They are paying a paltry dividend of $1 or 1.88%. They should immediately triple that dividend and be doing so without risk. I believe if they did, their shares would command a higher price.
The question becomes, what are they doing with their profits? Paying down debt? Looking to acquire assets?- if so, they better be producing assets. This is where we find out if their management is worth their weight.
I’m not sure why Blackrock would acquire 8.7% of the company unless they expected these shares to either pay them via dividend or go much higher. you can imagine they’ll be looking for seats on the board.
Looks like we’ve got some more correcting to do.
Not much change from 4 hours ago, although
the QQQ’s have come back and are now on their way up. Silver seems to like that development as it’s just shy of flat.
Surprisingly gold hasn’t moved, been in a $10 range since 0400 am. Shares continuing to firm up. HUI will have a nice pop at the open if nothing much changes. Can it hold and head back above 400?
Dollar still weak. Rates down 4 bips. Bitcoin down 1%. Oil up 1.5%
Don’t know what you guys are seeing but gasoline in our area jumped right back up from $2.95 to $3.10. Not sure why, I know distillate inventories were negative – close to 5 million barrels. I wonder if this administration has any plans for a new refinery or three. We could use them.
I said retail sales earlier, it’s the durable goods report that has come out. No real impact on anything other than silver has been hit for a dime.

Back in the trend?
Gold is up $48 at the moment, which is $30 off the highs here in the overnights. Silver down $.21
Looks like what we’ve been seeing lately with gold strong and silver susceptible. At least silver is at a higher level after yesterday’s rally.
Dollar resuming its decline. Rates down 2 bips. Oil up 1%. Bitcoin down 1%. All this with the SM futures down 1% or so.
Today’s big test will be how NEM performs post earnings. It’s up 2% in the premarket. Most of the other shares are up as well, including the silver shares. It’s way too early to tell how they’ll look by the time the SM opens, but hopefully they’ll get some traction. I believe the bellwether AEM is out with earnings today, so we’ll get another glimpse into the state of the majors.
Durable goods are the big numbers coming out in a few hours, although eco news hasn’t mattered all that much to pm’s in the last couple of weeks. Looks like they are expecting the numbers to tick up a little.
If this little correction in gold has run its course, it might break all records for being the shortest in pm history. GLD did fill a small gap at $300, but if that’s all we get it would be a surprise. According to ZH, GLD had the largest outflows since 2011 yesterday, surprised more damage wasn’t done.
Onward pilgrims!

Thanks for trying again. Something is blocking it. I can guess why. There are three videos back to back in it. The second giving the reason why we won’t find it, they buried it and made them sign a non disclosure in order to get treatment for the complications they caused.

Thanks for trying, you have the same link.
Since it will work on my email people can copy the link and send it to themselves and it might show up.
A lot of people are looking for that mRna trial
But there wasn’t enough info to narrow it down. It started in 2013 but adverse effects didn’t start showing up till two yrs later in 2015.
The best I could find since I don’t give up easily is a Google announcement giving reasons on why.
It won’t copy well. But shows people are looking for it.
Here’s the begining then a lot of reason why it wasn’t given to the public.
The claim that a 2015 neuromodulation trial resulted in “all but a few” participants dying is likely a misunderstanding or a misrepresentation of a study. While some trials have shown mixed results, and certain medical procedures carry risks, the specific details of the trial and the outcome you’re referring to aren’t supported by general medical knowledge.
-
unlikely, however, as high mortality rates in medical trials would be a major cause for concern and would likely be reported.
-
Overgeneralization of risks:The claim may be based on a misunderstanding of the potential risks of certain neuromodulation procedures. While risks exist, the mortality rate in most trials is not as high as suggested in the claim.
2013 mRNA TRIAL.
Out of 200 thousand only or less than 5 still living and all had their hearts stopped at least once. Point is even if it shows helpful it still kills.
Maybe this will work.
Will there be a deal? or are we just going to disengage from there?
High-Level Ukraine Peace Talks Scrapped After Rubio, Witkoff Pull Out Last Minute
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was expected to lead a high-level American delegation for more Ukraine peace consultations among allies in London on Wednesday. But in the latest sign that White House patience is wearing thin, the American delegation became a no-show.
“European diplomats pulled the plug on high-level talks set for Wednesday about ending Russia’s war in Ukraine after top US diplomats abruptly canceled plans to attend,”

Sealed units, a total rip off. From what I’m hearing from reviews on people what had fix it car insurance one of the things they do is say they cover this and that but not things connected to it, like these units and use that as a excuse they can’t fix it because of things on it not covered. They have to be careful getting that insurance or they’re better off starting their own payment plan savings and keep the money if they don’t need it.
ferret
That was good. Life changing. He’s in a good place, and a good place to spread the word.
Buygold @ 11:34…I don’t use cellphones but as I recall, when you take a picture with a cell phone the image is reversed…..
….and that’s very easily done now with all photography..
Don’t give up so easily on your AntiChrist theory, just reverse the image. SNG ;o)
goldie, Mr.C,
goldie, the sidelight is built into the headlight unit, and it is illegal to not have it working. The headlight unit is a totally sealed unit, impossible to get into unless you break it, and even then the electronics are sealed into the plastics. They are not serviceable, the LED “bulbs” are probably manufacturer specific so you couldn’t buy an after market one, and so on. However, all this is what makes a car so cheap today. To buy.
Mr.Copper, I don’t think that there is a conspiracy to use this technology to get rid of cars. All these innovations are driven by cost. In the example above the whole unit is assembled by robots, and probably installed by them too. Electric handbrakes are cheaper to manufacture and install for the same reasons. Electric windows are cheaper to make, and lighter (fuel economy and emissions, doncha know) and initial cost and fuel economy are what sells cars to new customers, most of whom will sell the car before it starts needing repairs. And so on and on.
Thus the situation we find ourselves in now is driven by new car buyers, which in Australia are mostly corporate, who are only interested in a three year timeline. They aren’t going to pay extra for a car designed to be easily maintained, not our problem.
Food
The same thing has happened with our food. It is far too cheap, and very poor quality. Because that is what the consumer demands. Farmers overcrop their land by pouring artificial fertilisers and pesticides onto GMO crops in the name of efficiency, killing the land. Most farm soil is now actually dead, stripped of the living mass that used to go down six inches or so. And most of our food is now dead, stripped of nutrients and flavours, bred for sweetness. Crops can only be grown because of fertiliser. But, this is because people can’t see beyond the end of their noses, the $$ is all that counts. As a proportion of their spending, food costs have never been lower. Ironically, the carbon in the soil lost to the atmosphere by ‘efficient’ farming is a huge contribution to the CO2 levels which has greenies wetting their pants, almost infinitely more so than cow farts.

Ipso, maddog
Agree on the Pope. Where he is, I would not want to be. We don’t have the capacity to understand eternity or being in a place with no hope. Imagine being fully aware or reminded that if you had just accepted the gift, everything would be different but instead having no hope of ever getting out of your circumstance.
Heavy stuff.
I thought pm’s were bad. 🙂
