goodwill to all you mothers,
Three hard Freeze nights in a row here in Central FL .
…and Maya – that steam locomotive … of course ! It was taken in FROSTburg , not far from my (summer) lands up in that neck of the woods – could even get there on the bicycle trail in a few hours of pedaling.

Steamed!

Santa Claus comes around tonight. Hope you were good!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Mele Kalikimaka & Hauoli Makahiki Ho!
Got 24″ snow and now -15f. Got her grandkids together and made Christmas cookies. They sent me a box of plastic containers full of cookies. Some did not survive the postal service ‘shake & toss’ system, and ultimate delivery here at the ranch involves a six-foot drop over the fence. But the crumbs are delicious!
This was the message I sent out to all my friends and relatives today…. and it is my sentiments exactly. Please give it a couple minutes! It’s Silverngold.
That was a great childhood.
I used to get up early catch the trout too but while camping and add If make myself a trout breakfast too. That’s before I knew about the Mercury in Calif.
Also one of my grandfather had a pet deer mother died or was abandoned who loved me and follow me everywhere. Thought I was his side kick but he’d get rough sometimes with deer play and let him know I don’t have a rough hide for those feet of his.
He too was killed by a hunter who didn’t know about him when a friend who was allowed to hunt on grandpas land took a friend but didn’t tell him.
Just a few miles up the road either way you’ll need chains.
I wouldn’t think about driving up there now plus it’s prone to land slides on HWY 50 way.
My youngest though just got her stuff ready to go up there soon as she can.
Hope the ski bunnies think twice right now but probably closed.
I have some last minute shopping and my youngest daughter borrowed my car cuz she got a flat tire.
Want to grab a couple of things at the store. My daughter says it’s packed at Walmart but I’m not going there. Shoppers still out everywhere here.
Got any grandkids young enough for Santa? They have a Santa Tracker now. He’s out already on the Mid East somewhere last heard. NORAD Santa Tracker
4 years of my youth (1948-52) was spent at Lake Tahoe where my step-dad was a State Park Ranger. I recall one winter when it was a good thing the outside door to our cabin opened inwards because we had to tunnel our way out so we could open a path through the snow….But overall it was a great experience for a kid.
One school day each week during winter we had mandatory ski lessons at Granlibakken Ski Lodge. https://granlibakken.com.
On weekends our mother was a waitress at the warming hut at the top of the chairlift at Squaw Valley Ski Resort so my sister and I got free skiing all weekend.
During summers I got up early and went fishing, and almost always brought back a limit of Rainbow or Speckled trout for breakfast when the rest of the family got up.
We had a pet fawn we named Zay. It’s mother had been killed on the highway so we bottle fed it until a neighbors dog chased it into the lake and it drowned. :o(
That’s where I learned to love nature, it shaped my character and my future and IMO why my life has always been Silverngold.
If you have the energy to spare, a good interview with Ed Dowd about the Covid hoax.
Oh…and please don’t send it over here….
Besides freezing to death right now there will be increased heart attacks for anyone going out in that weather. So please don’t go out less you have to and dress warm and no snow shoveling less you have to and not all at once. Best to just hunker down.
New York mayor no where to be found. He’s off for vacation. Sounder what good it would do anyways. Might make it worse.
You too Merry Christmas. I know your a skilled survivor so not to worried about you but that first video ?! Hard to understand him think it’s a India accent but said parts of Canada without power right now. Hope Winedoc is okay.
This is bad. It’s gonna be tough on hospitals too.
Wonder how those heated tent city’s they put up for their migrant replacements are working out.
Anyone anywhere going to docks to check on their boats with this going on well hope they took care of their burial expenses if they find them. There getting washed off the docks.
New york turns into an ocean! flash floods, cyclone bombs & huge waves hit new york – YouTube
You know if you look at some of the bozos they’ve always been like that, incompetent, anti American and or on the take like Biden. Since people here didn’t wake up and get them out of office it’s easy for these criminals watching on the sidelines that still don’t know what their doing because everything they do winds up a disaster to take advantage of it.
Even now we got states that got out there and voted in republicans to stop the demos to find they got these career traitors and criminals in their own party. They need to go.
Santa’s gonna really need Rudolf this year. Hope power holds out and they stocked the cupboards.
Woe to those including medical workers who have to go out and drive in that.
I’ve been ask to move from wound care to the floor when people couldn’t make it and it wasn’t that bad. Some medical staff isn’t gonna make it home for Christmas.
Hope they have a full charge on their phone hot coffee or tea and blankets in their car case they get stranded.
Someone opens there door totally blocked with snow.
It’s real bad out there.
