I like his point of view.

Brexit – remember, it’s only an advisory vote.

Andy Hoffman – Lord knows the man works hard on the good road, but really, “nigh” could be next year?

Clinton/Trump – that alone says how screwed we are.

I’m going out to my garden now – there, things seem to have their own more manageable agendas.

PS – repeating that APMEX on eBay has proved to be reliable and quick for some small purchases I made.

That cartoon you posted:

No fan of Bernie, but to say he’s been on a “free ride” is a huge lie – far beyond “poetic license”.

He’s generated the largest amount of small donations, record turnouts, and won in 22 states.

Hildebeast is the one getting the free ride.

Where are her indictments?

FWIW, no volume purchases here, but APMEX on eBay has been good for some of my purchases.

Also, JMBullion on eBay has has provided a couple good prices with quick delivery.

I use eBay and my local coin store for my small purchases.

It’s easy to compare the prices, and delivery or pick-up is easy from my point of view.

FWIW – If you can deal with Greg’s childlike interview technique, and are ready for Bix’s odd but strangely compelling world view, this can be of some value.

I don’t have much to say, but I visit every day.

I missed the group with all it’s contributions.

I’m addicted to those train pics.

Grateful for those who work to keep the place alive.

Thank you.

Thank you for posting that video.

I found it to be very satisfying.

Not so much for the picture he painted, but certainly for the way he painted it.

Not a rant, not a sermon, but a clear presentation of him defining his subject, truth.

FWIW, my thoughts on bit gold are few, but I do have questions.

Isn’t James Turk one of those folks who for years has said “If you don’t hold it, you don’t own it”?

Now, it’s seems to be o.k. to let him keep things tidy?

One needs to have access to electricity/phone/computer and a way to transfer value from the ether/digital world to the real one.

Will that be available in case of nuclear war, political upheaval, even severe earth changes – earthquake/snow/wind/flood etc.?

Bit gold may be o.k. for some use in the world in it’s current state, but what happens when things change?

If one has enough money to allocate some portion to bit gold, it might be worth doing, but I don’t have that kind of wealth.

No homes on several continents, no private jet  to get me to Singapore when things go belly-up.

FWIW – on Iowa

Posted by old-timer @ 17:09 on February 2, 2016

My penny’s worth of thoughtlessness  on the Iowa caucus.

Last night, even mainstream media was reporting that Republican caucus were un prepared for the number of newbies.  Short of paperwork/forms.

Reminded me of my first encounter with the morlocks who run the R’s when I showed up for Ron Paul for the 2008 run.

They pulled out all kinds of stunts to dilute our numbers.

They called us “Paulistas”.

We were new and under informed about procedures, and so, easily overrun.

Although in 2012 we were much better prepared and organized, they abandoned their own rules to diminish our effectiveness.

I even reported those events here.

No need to tell the results.  We are living with them.

Now, some people seem to think Trump or Sanders will be the new Obama – change we can count on, believe in, make happen – pick one.

The parties, both R’s and D’s believe they still have all the buttons under their control.

I think we are all in for a very big surprise, and it will not be fun for anyone.

I think I’m going to write-in our local weatherman for president.

Those  videos were quite enjoyable.

The railroad video was very fun to watch.  I’m sure that no American film would ever be made of our former named trains.

We are so quick to dispose of anything that would impart an aspect of having a history.  All our promise seems to lie in the future.

We never seem to stop and see that for some, the former future is now our past.

The Armstrong video filled in so many details in the story that has been building in my mind for the past decade or so.

I remember my early internet days when the hand written Armstrong letters would be posted with their charts and topical analysis.

I recall the Safra murder and the many speculations, the eventual release of the male nurse who was charged with the crime.

This story gives me a better sense of the man, one who stands above the ZH-type carpings about the quality of  the free  analysis he provides.

I can only hope that God will enact appropriate punishments for those who so artfully used the law as torture.

Thanks for posting these contributions to the holiday.

how are “they” going to dump gold to cover their margin calls?

Go more short?

Thanks for that FWIW-Blockbuster post.

Do you have any links for that story?

I’d not seen any story about the Russian lake and the Chinese “new” lake.

And the Hilary e-mail twist is interesting to say the least.

Just as almost everything going on today, there is something really fishy about what happened and what we are told.

Takes a lot of effort to try to keep abreast of all the antics.

This one from JPM.

I’m starting to give some credence to the Fulford stories, and Bix Weir, and the other ‘theorists’ speculating on banker deaths.

Thanks for that!

I might add that IMO, it’s not just the ‘left’ but the ‘right’ that have worked in collusion to bring about the current state.

This example of the last vote on the patriot act shows predominant favor by the right.

The system is broken.

The “R’s” and the “D’s” – they all dance to the same tune played by big money.

“Free Trade” is their anthem now, and if the past is any proof, the only thing free will be the ride given to the privileged.

RE: The Olympia, WA police ‘action’.

IMO, this is just what we should expect.

The local TV news last night reported that the officer responsible was 3 years into his position, with prior experience in Afghanistan in the military, and with the Border Patrol.

So, where is his police training? Probably nonexistent .  He was/is trained as a soldier, and he sees any opponent as an enemy.  His is trained to kill enemies.

So, when policing in a non-combatant city, he still shoots first as he was trained to do, no matter that the weapon he saw was a skateboard, and that the crime was the theft of some beer.

The culprits are enemies.

Yes, they shouldn’t be stealing beer, and they shouldn’t have run (skateboarded) away.

But is it worth shooting them down like rabid dogs?

This militarization of our police will continue until the locals put a stop to it.

And, they will, probably with a lot of unrest.

As to more police excess, I offer the link to this story; an infant is determined to be at fault for it’s injuries at the hands of out-of-control cops:
