A series of moderate earthquakes rattled the area near Janesville in Lassen County on Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
In a span of minutes, three earthquakes, with magnitudes of 4.5, 3.4 and 4.4, shook the area in the Sierra Nevada, according to the USGS. About 12 minutes later, a magnitude 2.8 temblor struck the same area south of Honey Lake.”
