The US had offered Greenland a hundred million in gold in the late 40’s to buy it. I worked in Greenland during 73-74 and most of all the original film from Camp Century and the B-52 crash was edited in Greenland at the TV station at Thule AFB where I worked. I used to watch most of the original footage that was left behind where I worked. The nuclear reactor at Camp Century had many problems and tons of Rad waste was left behind and is still there 100 ft under the snow. Last year the sewage (8 million gallons) left under the ice was close to to melting and heading down stream.
On the 68 B 52 crash , most of those early hydrogen bombs had 8 kilos of plutonium in them and is on the bottom of North Star bay . They hired Intuit to clean up the nuclear trash and you can see by clothes they were wearing that it wasn’t for working around radiation.
